Excellent and plentiful food for a very modest price (under 20 for 2 of us). Note: NO alcohol is served, and be prepared to share your table. It's not a romantic place.

Spent a day walking downtown Montreal and ended up in the Chinese Neighborhood. Decided to walk in to have dinner here. Prawns & Beef on Vermicelli was the best. Reminds me of Pho Restaurant in Vancouver. This is now my favorite in Montreal.

Came there during our holidays in Montreal. The place is clean, tea cups and utensils are clean too. We had pho and fried spring rolls. Their pho was just average, fried spring rolls were very good, not made by Vietnamese rice paper though. The reason I give this place 5 stars because of the excellent customer service, the servers were... More

Stopped-by on a very cold evening for a quick meal. Waited 5 minutes to be seated, fast order and fast food delivery. We had a great grilled chicken and shrimp pho soups that were very filling and tasty. We'll be back for sure. The place is very busy, be ready to wait for a table-it's worth it.

Never been deceived. The place is always packed. Service is friendly and the food a cheap and tasty option. Grilled pork , rice vermicelle and imperial rolls are my usual choices. You do eat elbow to elbow with other fellows since you sit at large tables. Recommended for a simple eat.

We were there at an "off" time(between lunch and dinner) and the place was packed. Tables changed quickly. Many choices. Servings are big and food was not greasy

I have visited this place few times and I have never been disappointed. They have wide selection of pho variations and also main dishes. They also have pictures in their menu to see how the served meal is going to look like. If you are considering going there for a lunch or dinner, you can't make a mistake. Also, the... More

Had lunch here while attending a conference at Congress in Montreal. Authentic Vietnamese food, service was fast and friendly, food was great! there was a line up for seating after we arrived.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
