Recently in Montreal on business. This pub was a short walk from the hotel. Decent sized portions and the food was quite tasty. Some decent live entertainment on a Sunday night, was a pleasant surprise. Waitresses not overly friendly and welcoming, but not the worst.

We went last summer in family, inside is well decorated but there were some flaws in keeping some autentic image. The bar is good , the food is average. For sure with a bunch of friends an extended 5-7 would give another impression.

This place was recommended to me and we went early on a Saturday night. I was underwhelmed. It's not really irish, not really Canadian. The staff were nice, drinks were OK, interior was disappointing.

More bar than restaurant but the food wasn't bad. TVs all around, noise a little much, but there was a large group near us. I think we'd go back though. Mondays they were all you can eat fish n chips.

My boyfriend and I always make it to McKibbins when we visit. The service is great, atmosphere lively and always seems to have live music. Small area to dance and the food that went by looked great but we didn't eat here. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink.

On my recent trip to Montreal, I dined at McKibbins Irish Pub on two separate occasions. The first time I had the potato and leek soup and chicken wings and had a Guiness to wash it all down with. The soup was very tasty and the wings were delicious! Our server was Chantal Y. and she was the best! The... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
