We were told that this place has the best coffee in Montreal and man it did not disappoint. A great cafe feel. We got cappuccinos and split a croissant. So delicious. A must visit!

This is where you see the Montrealers at their best, chilling on Sunday mornings. Excellent coffee, service depends on the day but usually good. If you want a true taste of Montreal. They mostly serve coffee and some biscottis and patries. However no sandwiches or salads. We go to the corner and get fresh St-Viateur bagels with cream cheese.

Delicious coffee, good place to meet friends on day time. Atmosphere is very nice. However, terasse would need some renovation. I would recommend to repaint the wood!

Stopped here for a quick coffee and snack after stopping at St. Viateur to pick up bagels. The atmosphere is fantastic!! The service is with a smile and then some. Definately worth a stop if you're in the neighbourhood.

I loved to spend my morning coffee time in this cafe during my stay. It's always busy with a lineup at the counter but to me it's a sign this is one of the place to be in the Mile End of Montreal. The short waiting time is worth it though as you will listen to the joyful Italian waiter... More

Recommended by someone at a bagel joint down the street. Got a yummy latte, my friend got a great iced coffee- it's almost like a slushy. The drinks are small, but definitely good.

Get the iced coffee or coffee sorbet. Pictured here are both. The prices are comparable to Starbucks for far better coffee.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
