Service is as good as the food in this Classy little diner on Ste Cath with consistently great fish and chips. Generous portions of fish and even more golden crispy fries. Creamy clam chowder and the perfect oyster crackers. Homemade sauces and mayo! All 80s music all time - what more could you want?

Fish and chips, chowder and calamari rings are found on the menu. Not being too hungry I had the calamari basket which came with a tartar sauce. I was OK but not great. Both the appearance and taste where somewhat bland and the uniformity of the coating made me think the rings were more food service than homemade. Service was... More

We attend the restaurant on Wellington Street in Verdun Quebec. I have been to this restaurant a few times and everything is exceptional. The beer is good, the fish great, the poutine generous and rich. My son has had the steak sandwich more than once - he recommends it. Take out is excellent as well.

It has been a long time I wanted to go. We finally decided to go on Saturday September 10th. We ordered the Shrimp Tempura with the Thai Sauce....EXCELLENT!!! Yes it's greasy a bit, but sooooooo good! :) I will go back for sure!

We stopped in here after our tour bus dropped us off. My wife had the calamari. I had the steak sandwich. There was a lot of food. The calamari rings are thin, but very flavorful. Try the Thai sauce for dipping. The steak sandwich was also good. A little bready, but it is very good bread. Lots of cheese and... More

Great little place to enjoy fish and chips and other seafood. Depending on the weather you can sit outside on the patio (during summer months) or inside at the dinner style stools. Very interesting decor and great ambiance. The young lady who served us is quite attentive, speaks both English and French and was very helpful.

Just wanted something rather late in the evening. Ordered fish and chips. You may choose between 2 or 3 pieces and I chose 2, which would have been quite enough if I had had the chips. However, the chips were overcooked and tasted burnt. The fish, on the other hand, was perfectly cooked. It stills gets a 3 rather than... More

Came here last year on my visit to Montreal so had to stop again. Had the two piece fish and chips and a pint. Came to $22. Canadian. Fries were good, fish was a little oily this time. Didn't agree with my stomach the next morning either. Would visit again.

Hands down, some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. I ordered one piece of fried fish with a side of curry for my chips and tartar for my fish. The fish was fried perfectly- crispy and crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside.

I was there 2 nights ago and a couple of visits previously..... I go there usually for the Calamari's and I do enjoy my small basket with some lime. However the smell of fish was so repulsive that it was a turn off. Fresh fish do not smell the way it did. My friend had the burger it was ok.... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
