I was brought here by someone who was familiar with the cuisine and ordered a bunch of stuff for us to try. The pork belly in particular was delicious, but we really enjoyed every single dish.

So i used to come here often, but they changed chef and it's just not the same anymore. The dishes we ordered were : crispy chicken, rice, lotus root and crispy eggplant. It was average. I can't seem to have the same amazing taste anymore. Otherwise I would still recommend this place.

We were staying nearby mainly for transportation convenience for a holiday weekend when we spotted this place. As fans of Szechuan (or Sichuanese) cooking, we tried it for our last lunch in Montreal. The food was great balance of flavors with proper seasoning, especially with the spice levels - not too spicy nor bland. As well, the cooking technique was... More

We ordered the Mixed Hot Pot & House Special Fried Rice. We were only 2 but it was a feast for four. Cooked at the table Szechuan style. We managed about three quarters and it was great. Topped it off with a cold Tsing Tao. Need a long walk now.

We had hot and sour soup, imperial roles, crispy spinach and pepper chicken, chilli chicken and soft noodles. Food was specially suited for the Indian palate. Quantity of food substantial. The restaurant is small but well laid out.

I love this place. It's great for big groups of people (they have a table spins for sharing) and is really good for couples too. You can't beat the price. Also, there are a lot of vegetarian options!

Great food. Esp. the 5-spice fish. Aubergine. Really love their salt and pepper squid. The mapo-dofu was dissapointing. I've been there 4 times and always good service, attentive. Very reasonable for the price. Popular with students nearby, but never loud or obnox. In mtl, imho, there are only about 3 restos doing Scechuan with any distinction. This is one of... More

My wife & I were in Montreal recently for a 4 day vacation. We decided to try different ethnic foods for lunch and dinner each day. We read reviews on a number of Chinese restaurants and decided on Cuisine Szechuan for Chinese food. The reviews were right on. This restaurant is a must if you like Chinese food! They have... More

The food was authentic. We ordered steamed chicken dumplings and were so fresh that they took 10 minutes and were served with dinner, We ordered my favorite string beans with small pieces of pork that was perfectly cooked in an amazing sauce. My husband ordered chicken with mushrooms and peanuts that was also yummy. A DEFINITE return to.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
