We got in late to Old Montreal and this place was right down the street. They were very welcoming to our party of 10 at 11:30 PM. We had the adults and kids. The place was like a club and restaurant at that time. We had great service and very good food. I liked all the pizzas. We actually ate... More

Bevo has it all, from the excellent food to the fantastic atmosphere. Each time we are there the service has been great as well. This time we had the calamari, beet salad and the margarita pizza which is favourite. The atmosphere totally represents old Montreal with the brick walls. The Sangria was excellent also.

Stopped in to try their pizza which was great as others have said had their pizza with truffles on it. Took us back to Italy. Had caprise also a little out of season for tomatoes so just ok. Beers and atmosphere were good. Great service. Had Tiramisu for desert which was also good. Cost for 2 was $74 Canadian

We arrived in Montreal on Sunday and went late to Old Town to take photos. Wasn't much open except for this gem. Service was friendly and the food was great. Had gnocchi and they were cooked perfectly. They also have a pretty extensive drink menu

Went to Bevo after a visit to the Pointe a Calliere exhibit hoping for a nice bite to eat. The place is a restaurant and , I guess, an after work place to wind down with friends. The Restaurant is Rustic modern and offers pizza & pasta. Pizzas are about 10 inches and can be made as you like with... More

We were able to reserve a table for dinner for our large group last weekend. Our server was efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious! We ordered several dishes and pizza to share and everyone was very happy. Our daughter loved the lasagna and we all agreed that the pizza was fantastic!

Description
A favorite among Old Montreal diners, BEVO Bar + Pizzeria boasts fine Italian cooking, original cocktails and a fresh ambiance nightly. Seven days a week, Chef Giovanni Vella cooks up traditional flavours with a few signature twists. His specialty: authentic, wood-fired pizzas. Two expansive floors, a fully-stocked bar, convenient seating and a DJ every Thursday through Saturday keep things lively until the wee early hours. And during summer, take advantage of its terrace, which sits right on Saint-Vincent Street-a pedestrian stretch bustling with friendly locals and artists.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
