Tora is a really nice TAKE OUT sushi spot. I have never and would never actually dine at the location simply because it's just NOT nice or charming at all. If you want delicious take out sushi .. Go! If u want a romantic evening out... Don't! Tuna on fire is amazing

Small, neighbourhood place with good food. What upset me was that the owner refused to honour my Groupon. It had expired and keeps its face value forever but the owner said, "too late." Groupon remitted him my money months ago, but I was refused the credit on my bill. When a restaurant owner cheats a customer, how can we be... More

I suppose it is pretty good if you like creative fancy rolls or maki. And if you want to take away... But for basic things, like sashimi or miso soup, forget it. Servings are tiny and very expensive for what it is and the service is really robotic - almost rude - like a junk fast food. If you ask... More

I ordered from there for the 1st time last week and I was pleasently impressed. The freshness and quality of the food, the size of the rolls, and they tasted simply fabulous. They have a lot of choices and most of those are house specialties. Their website is fun, even if you don't order online(which you can), it makes it... More

I pick up on a weekly basis from this little sushi joint. Very Web Friendly, you can order online and pick up, less confusion than over the phone. The prices are the best compared to what's around and the quality and freshness is second to none. I have had the Philly, Spring Maki, California, Avocado, Yam and Cucumber, Miso Soup... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
