A cozy setting and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine make this a wonderful and easy dining experience, especially on a snowy winter night. The ambience is warm and inviting and the food was tasty and a little different from the run of the mill Lebanese restaurants. The service was fast but not rushed. The fatouch salad was one of the best.... More

Went with friends on a weekend evening. The place was full so make sure you have a reservation. Of note, they offer free parking a few buildings past the restaurant on Parc heading north. The sign is really easy to miss but knowing in advance will save you a few minutes looking for parking. We had a few dips with... More

For many years I passed in front of that place while driving to or from work and I remember telling my husband every time ' we have to try this place'. Then one night we just decided to stopped! My hubby was born and raised in Lebanon so it's always a challenge to go at a middle-eastern restaurant. He his... More

As the title says, third time here. Still amazing food, atmosphere, and phenomenal service. Get the beet puree, or get pretty much anything. Everything is good.

We had such a wonderful time at this restaurant. We were a group of 9 and we have good experience with Lebanese food so the bar was set high. The atmosphere was great. Very vibrant. The service was fantastic as was the food. Authentic and flavourful for sure. And the price was the best part. I couldn't believe that for... More

This is definitely one of the better restaurants I've been to. It is a bit outside of downtown Montreal, but you can walk it in about 35 minutes, or take a taxi or bus. For appetizers, try the fattouch salad (excellent), and for cold dishes, we had the muttabal and mousaqa'a, which they bring you plenty of pita bread for,... More

We tried his place first time and went for lunch. Quite place to host a lunch or dinner and simple decor. Food is average and none of the dishes wowed us or was upto our expectations. Have tried better in the city.

Loved it ! Very far from a schawarma! The food is refined, we tried many dishes and they are all delicious, from baba ganoush with pine nuts to beets dip, wonderful eggplant dishes, fish, lamb stew. You can taste the barbecue flavour of the eggplant, spicy without being overwhelming, even the setting is very special (lots of renovations done).

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
