This restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful streets in montreal! The italian poutine is 100% gluten free and is soooo good! The decor is a bit run down but the vibe is good! Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch and glass of wine!

Poutine was first rare, however service/atmosphere left something to be desired. Great location, beers/drinks have minimal variety.

Essentially chose the place for convenience. There were 11 of us and they were very accommodating by moving tables around to seat us together. The staff in general was friendly. They were efficient in bringing beverages and taking our orders. The restaurant was moderately busy but the kitchen seemed backed up -we got our food in flights with significant confusion... More

If you have never had poutine, this is a great opportunity to experience classic poutine. The restaurant has a street entrance to the second floor on Rue St-Paul, and most times has someone stationed at the doorway to guide you upstairs to the dining room. The menu includes the classics for a visit to Montreal - regular poutine and smoked... More

Ran into this restaurant while exploring Montreal this fall. Temperatures were mild and the sun was shining during our visit, so we took advantage of the nice weather and ate in the courtyard/patio. Great atmosphere out there! We shared the smoked meat poutine and each had a cocktail. We are from Pittsburgh and NEVER get good poutine, so this was... More

A required dining experience while in Montreal is poutine, a combination of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds. This small restaurant in the middle of the tourist section fo rue St. Paul is a very good way to experience poutine (mess). While the combination sounds a little weird, the end result is quite good and this restaurant apparently specializes in... More

After a cold and dreary walk to what was a very unassuming upstairs hideout I found fantastic smoked meat poutine. The ambiance was good as well as the service.

I recommend avoiding this restaurant as it is a tourist trap. The food is terrible and overpriced. They target tourists by having a cute courtyard which looks perfect on a beautiful, sunny day.

Service was fast, food was delicious. Varied menu with a lot of choices. We were seated in the courtyard. Excellent atmosphere. Good selection of beer and wine. Their sangria is excellent. Professional staff. The courtyard was quite busy and only 2 wait staff around to serve. We didn't mind because it was quite relaxing. The food was delicious and hot.... More

Professionally greeted at the entrance and seated on the terrace, a busy evening but service was polite and efficient! There was a small issue with my girlfriends amaretto sours. Reasonably priced mains and drinks - will return

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
