After coming from another disappointed restaurant, we got recommended to Perché. Location is great, breath taking views of Old Port and weather was nice! Food was great (mine was amazing, my husband first option not the greatest but the server was nice and changed it). As romantic as the low light setting something it was a bit too much as we couldn't read the menu and had to use our flashlights on our phones. Also the table was very small and barely fit anything. When we arrived I had told the server it was my husband birthday she said okay. I was under the impression that they would bring him a desert or sing to him as traditionally they do in restaurants at in Toronto but instead she bought us the bill and said they were closed, I was very disappointed by this.
Based on this my tip percentage went down and the server was not happy about it but I always say TIP is earned and not mandatory!!
Aside from that beautiful place, great food but service okay!

It was busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon but we were able to get a table. Good selection of cocktails, although the beer menu is a bit limited. They have some snacks on the menu as well as more substantial meals. You get a great view of the Old Port.

A beautiful spot with great views. The Aperol Coconut Margarita was sublime!! Our server Matisse was very attentive and gave great service. All our meals were good and plentiful - would highly recommend to experience summer in Old Montreal!

Visited with my son for Sunday brunch. Quickly wished I hadn’t. On checking in we were told that it was wasp season which was a gross understatement for the thousands of critters flying around. Food was very weird, only way to describe it, buttermilk fried chicken on waffles with the sweetest sugary sauce and some random bits of fruit dotted around. It wasn’t terribly cooked just felt like it was invented by someone with no tastebuds. Service very average. There are many better places to go, especially the Terrasse Nelligan that are much much better

Rooftop bar/restaurant open!!!
I advise you to ask for a table at the ends of the terrace to enjoy the panoramic view.
I came there a year ago and the place hasn't changed, except the map which has been updated. The cocktails are good.
I recommend the sangria (preferably red) which is really very good.
Quite affordable prices even if it is more expensive than average given the setting…

We had a lovely afternoon on the rooftop at Perche. We met David who was wonderful and we enjoyed our time and visit, thank you! We highly recommend this restaurant and rooftop lounge. They had healthy food, refreshments, and refreshing beverages along with pleasant views of the area and waterfront.

Great time at this beautiful seasonal terrace in the summertime in Old Montreal. Loved the cocktails, the food was very yummy. We had duck and wagyu for appetizers and delious burrata salad to accompany our crispy grilled salmon with lemongrass, coconut and carrot curry sauce. Our server Xavier was super, too bad it's not open all year round, would definitely go each seasons if it was.

Just 1/2 block off the Main Street the entrance to Perche is a little out of the way and may be one of the reasons we were able to snag a Saturday brunch table in the sun. Excellent cocktails with a Mimosa option that includes a whole bottle of champagne.
The chicken and waffles was excellent and suspect most everything else on the menu is too. Highly recommended!

What a lovely surprise! We reserved a table the same day, and not knowing if it would rain or not, we sat under the awning rather than at the (very) outside tables. We made the right choice - it rained and folks came scrambling in. So you can dine at Perche rain or shine! The menu is “Mediterranean” with a distinct Asian influence. I had a delicious crispy shrimp appetizer with a sesame hoisin sauce and a pomegranate salad. I also ordered a wonderful melon salad with feta and cinnamon-roasted pecans (so good!) while my husband had the duck skewers, All dishes were substantial but also light and very flavorful. The cocktails were tasty and reasonable priced. We both got up to catch the rainbow after the rain and to admire the view over Old Town.

We were just at Perche and had an amazing time. The food was delicious, would highly recommend the Bao buns. They had really different cocktails and had the most scrumptious APÉROL COCONUT MARGARITA, tasted even better than it looked! The views of Old Port are spectacular. We also had great service and our waitress Julia was so sweet and fun. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!

We had an amzing evening with the beautiful sunset accompanied by a delightful meal. Everything was very tasty and the food was on point, especially the wagyu dumplings. And to top that we had the most friendly and knowledgeble server, Mika.
Really recommand this restaurant!

Best view for brunch. Honestly we read the menu wrong and didn't realize that on the weekends they only serve brunch not lunch. The drinks were great and the brunch h was ok. Service was a tad slow but it let us enjoy and amazing view. Ask for a seat in the sun, and in the corner you will have the best table in the entire place.

My friend and I tried this spot for our final night in Montréal and the experience was great from start to finish. We were sat right away and the service was very prompt. Our server, Xavier, took very good care of us, and the food was amazing. The Tartare de Thon (tuna) was an amazing starter and my Saumon Croustillant Grillé was absolutely perfect, I recommend both if you visit! The views of old Montréal were stunning and made the 33°C heat completely worth it. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the city!

My wife and I were visiting Olde Montreal and noticed this restaurant on top of the Hotel William Gray. On the off chance we could get in without a reservation, the hostess greeted us and indicated that there was actually a table available. Upon going to the rooftop, we were seated at a fantastic table along the railing overlooking the busy shops and restaurants.
Our waitress, Matisse, was one of the best we have ever had. She was amazing. From her smile to her attentiveness to her humour, we could not have asked for someone better.
The food as amazing as well. My wife had the Mahi Mahi cooked to perfection and presented well. I had their known Burger Perche with sweet potato fries. Very nicely cooked overall. For desert we had the Beignets and they were delicious.
With a couple of cocktails, a wonderful view, good food and Matisse, we cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Hi, had a wonderful lunch with family on July 5th, 2023. One of my brothers was in visiting from Vancouver. Our server Matisse was awesome. Very friendly and informative of drinks and menu. We had burgers, poke bowl and fish tacos. All of it was delicious according to the family member eating it. I highly recommend you go there and ask to sit in Matisse section. :)
