Maybe we were grumpy because of the cold and the fact that the first three restaurants we wanted to go to were closed. At first this place looked like a fortunate port in a storm. But then reality set in. Crowded, extremely noisy - where...More

Great French atmosphere. Classic French music playing. Very rustic decor styled like a butcher/ deli shop. Smoked meat sandwich was good. Salmon sandwich was ok. Good service.

Popped in this petit quintessential French cafe. Sandwiches, pates, amiable staff and owner. Would go back in a city-second.

The place is nice, the food is very good but the waiter was rude. He can be as nice to others as unpleasant to others (me in this case... I am not surr why...)

While staying in the area with my husband in November, our hotel recommended la Villette for lunch upon our check in. The moment you walk into the marche, you feel warm and welcome. The service feels French and swift, but altogether relaxed. They offer traditional...More

On a freezing cold afternoon, this little gem hit the spot for some yummy comfort food and ambience. A table by the window, a glass of white wine and a croque madame was the perfect combination to warm us up after braving the cold windy...More

Had a wonderful meal here and the service was the best we experienced in Montreal! Had the escargot to start which was very good. For our entree we shared the cheese fondue. It was served with both bread, and a variety of meats. The cheese...More
