Another bustling bistro on the Bernard strip, one of four such offspring in the Montreal area, this small restaurant specialises in slow food, literally, served amidst a stylish, black, white and recycled lumber decor. How it took so long, in a quiet lunch period, to prepare a classic cheese and ham omlette which was so undercooked it was almost running... More

This was a last minute NYE dinner - the restaurant was close to where we were staying and we walked in without a reservation or without reading any prior reviews. A very pleasant surprise! The food was delicious, the modern lounge-like feel was perfect and the staff was very pleasant and had no problem explaining everything to us in English.... More

Had a late night dinner at the Montreal location at the top of Place Ville Marie (PVM). Food was as good as the Outremont location and the prices seem to be the same. Great place to see the city on a clear night.

Located on the 44th floor of an office building, you can just imagine the views! Extraordinary service - our server was truly amazing and super personable! We were dining with clients, the setting was appropriate for both business & pleasure! Food portions very generous and lovely presentations. I had the beef tartare, shepherds pie and pouding chomeur. I was able... More

The best views of Montreal! Beautiful outside bar and terrace with spectacular views especially if you get a table on the perimeter of the restaurant. The food is average and slightly overpriced. But good service, bustling atmosphere and certainly a packed place. Its really a fun place for a party or a group. If you are a foodie, maybe stop... More

Had dinner with friends. Server was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Excellent choices in Starters; the tuna tataki was especially good. The ribs starter was the star of the night: falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavourful. Good wine list; we had the La Crema Pinot Noir which was very good. Tables are very close together so it's quite... More

Oh dear, what can I say, and how may I start... First you are received as a guest welcome... the view is breathtaking of Montreal City, you can see “Le Stade Olympique” and” Le Vieux Port”... Food let me say it in French "simplement Delicieux", service what can I say very courteous and friendly staff, one issue (not important) but... More

We were part of a group of forty. Service was efficient and friendly. Group menu nicely varied. All dishes were good. Very noisy. Boring decor. No decoration we had to bring our own. Set wines were fine.

Staying in Outremont

Neighbourhood Profile
Outremont
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theatre productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighbourhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
