Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ate here during a bike tour and were hungry and thirsty from the road - and were sated. We first addressed our thirst with a wide selection of local and Quebec micro brews then had some hearty pub food. But the best part was...our very friendly and personable waitress!.More

We went for dinner and had a great time. Staff was nice and they even had English menus. Food came quick and we were both satisfied with the meal. It is not a place to have a quiet romantic dinner but it was great.

Thanks very much to the pretty young girl who served us (even though the wait for food was extenuous - it was Labor Day). Very tasty food and excellent beer (brewed on the premises of course).

As a beer lover, there was no way I could stay in Jonquière without visiting this microbrewery/brewpub. It was a beautiful day, so I got a table on their huge outside terrace. The atmosphere was great, with plenty of good vibes to go around. I...went for the beer sampler option, which allows you to select 5 different beers for a set price. The service is casual, friendly, and efficient. The staff are quite knowledgeable about what beers they have on tap, so don't hesitate to discuss your options with them. The beers were good (bought some to bring back home) and I had a great time. Would definitely go back!More

This was a nice place to grab some unique beers and pub like food. Fries come with most dishes, so not super elegant in that regard, but good portion size and nice atmosphere

Had lunch. Several specials available on a limited menu. Supper options are more varied. Food quality was superb; the boneless chicken breast was cooked with a delicious barbeque sauce, and came with some to dip it in. Meat was tender and not too dry. Beer...is also very good, with a large choice of local brews with clever names (in French, of course). Had the Hefe Weisen; it reminded me of Weisen beers I had in Germany.More

This is a nice pub style restaurant that serves its own microbrewery beer. I tried the "malcommode" which is a nice wheat beer. The BBQ sauce on the chicken was excellent. They have a very nice patio to enjoy when the weather is nice.

The noise was almost unbearable. The food was OK but very small portions for very large prices. Our waitress was not friendly and in fact rude (I'm english you see). The manager was very very good. It seemed to me that the only thing they...really wanted to serve was their beer. So if you are 18-30 yrs old, this is for you. If you are a senior, stay away. We were there with our grandchildren who are probably used to this kind of place.More

Perfect beer for a perfect meal. I love the bbq sauce for the côtes levées, it's just amazing! Their spring-summer blueberry white beer is fantastic too.

Well located in downtown Jonquiere, this pub has a very friendly "atmosphere". During summer a large "terrasse" is avaiable and really crowded on sunny days.

Spent a long weekend in northern Quebec without any hope of finding a great meal. Nice to have been wrong. La Voie Maltée has 3 locations. Had lunch at Jonquiere location. Nice specials. Great soup. Very good ribs. Excellent micro-brewery stout. Excellent price. Place was...full and service was acceptable. Had supper at the Chicoutimi location. Huge step up. Great vibe in the bar. Excellent soup. Reasonable cheddar fondue (fondue as in French for deep fried cheese, NOT fondu as in Swiss pot of melted cheese to dip your bread). I had a burger -- very nice. Tender, juicy. Wife had moules frites. Excellent mussels. Very tasty. White chocolate brownie for dessert -- nice finish. If I had to be back in Chicoutimi, I'd definitely return for another meal.More

Waited 45 minutes over the phone without talking to anyone... To me this is unacceptable. They should find a way around this.

We went at La Voix Maltée with some friends and had a very nice experience. Ambience was good, service was excellent, they even brought beer samples for those who weren't sure which one to choose. Beer were very good, but food wasn't even for everyone....Some enjoyed their meal, but others were average (I had a steak and it wasn't worth the price...) But overall a very good evening, would recommend the place.More

Food was also quite good, although in my opinion the smoked meat sandwich was too small... There were more fries than sandwich. Try the Birramisu desert!
