This has become a habitual gathering spot for my family to eat when visiting relatives in a nearby town. Great Polish food in a unique environment. Friendly and fast service.

Historic Wilno Tavern is a must stop if you are visiting the area. Quaint and welcoming with large selection to choose from on menu. My husband and I both had the hearty combo platter: polish sausage, mashed potatoes, cabbage rolls and perogies. We had another meal to take home because there was so much! I am indifferent when it comes... More

Now I'm not polish and do not know much about authentic polish food, however, regardless if the pierogis were authentic or not, they tasted amazing!!! I decided to get my family a couple frozen ones before we left back for Ottawa to give me a proper pierogi fix that I acquired while eating there! So good and a must if... More

Service was good got even better after the owner stopped and paid a visit with our group. Owner was excellent and very passionate about the area and her tavern! No word of a lie best cabbage rolls I have ever had. Even better then my Nana's but don't tell her! Liked the perogies, shrimp, veggie platter and the sausage, yummy... More

Love this place, a place you can go and dance like no one is watching. All are accepted here. Food is fantastic, constantly the same great quality. Definately recommend visiting. Staff are unique, fun people too.

I stopped here last fall. The restaurant interior is quaint and the pub is historic, with a menu offering Polish food. I ordered and spent almost an hour waiting for my meal. I finally gave up and left.

Enjoyed a nice dinner with family over the weekend. Best to make a reservation as it is a happening spot. The food was plentiful and tasty - from perrogies, sauerkraut, cabbage rolls to liver & onions (a fav for 2 of the 7 diners). Thanks so much for the hospitality.

Ate here one night when we stayed (a little bit outside) in Wilno a couple of days. The menu is big, with a lot of polish dishes. Food was good (we had the bratwurst and snitzel) and was a full big plate. Wine was good and staff was friendly. We were there on the first Friday of the month, there... More

We were spending a night in Barry's Bay area after a day of driving and walking about in Algonquin Park. The lady at the motel suggested Wilno Tavern, specializing in Polish cuisine and it was just minutes down the road. My husband and I quickly realized this could be a little gem of a meal. And it was. Upon arriving,... More

This was a great lunch stop while driving from Algonquin Park to Ottawa on a rainy fall day, It was late enough in the day that we were able to get a seat immediately. Since were were both pretty hungry and feeling like comfort food, we decided to get the lunch buffet. We were no longer hungry after that. There... More
