We stopped by on our tour through the distillery district and had a pint of the self-made IPA and Tankhouse ale. The beer and service were really good. Although we didn't have food, the dishes passing our table looked really nice, so giving it a try might be worthwhile. Definitely recommended for a stop.

Went on a random Friday and just needed a spot to have dinner. Besides the Mexican place, this was the only restaurant that looked open. Since it looked relatively busy inside, decided to give it a try. We were seated very quickly and server was quick to come take our drink order. Once he came back with our drinks, we... More

What a disappointment. The atmosphere was great and I really like Mill Street beers but our last two visits have been a disaster. It took 2 hours for lunch. At one point our server had 17 tables and over 65 guests. Everyone around us was always trying to flag him down for service. Once our food came it was cold.... More

This Sunday four of us went for brunch to Mill Street Pub. The service was excellent with servers and hosts constantly checking on us and our food. The Brewmaster breakfast was a good choice-generous portion with tasty sausage. The Eggs Benny too was also tasty and I would recommend the Vegetarian Fritatta. Not all of us like Tator Tots so... Had dinner hear with friends before attending Soul Pepper. Great selection of beer. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He brought is a couple of beer samples so we could order the brew that was just right for each of us. Haddock fish and chips were nicely done and not greasy. The fries are fresh cut and tasty. Our friend... More

The seasonal beers on draught are always fun to try out, so get a flight of 4 when you're here (they do 6oz and 8oz servings). I've been here for brunch, lunch, and dinner. It can get pretty busy, regardless of the time, but I've never had to wait for a table. The staff are friendly and can help you... More

They are doing up their beer hall at the moment so our visit on Sat afternoon was not the best. Very cramped and staff not very attentive. Food is good though and big portions!! Maybe go in the week or wait until Beer Hall is open again.

I like visiting the Distillery district, but I felt let down by our recent experience at Mill Street Brew Pub. The food was just okay (although the beer was excellent). Also, I visited the washroom upon arrival, and it wasn't very clean, with toilet paper on the floors. I visited again at the end of the meal; the floor was... More

I came here years ago and still am craving the beer I had. Great outdoor seating for the rare sunny days and very chill place to hang with friends.

We walked about 3/4 mile to get to the Distillery District for a day of exploring, so I was tired and needed a snack and a sit. We wandered into the Mill Street Brew Pub on a whim and it turned out to be a brilliant idea. My husband and I each ordered a flight of beers to taste---the server... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
