We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Orange juice and a pot of fresh coffee got us off to a good start. There was a very good variety to choose from on the buffet including an omelette station. My husband enjoyed the congee (rice porridge). There was also a good selection of fresh fruit and pastries. The only draw back is the... More

The Xmas brunch at Westin Harbour Castle is worth taking in. There's a little of pretty much everything. It's a good value.

Staff was good. Need more people on food station. Waited 20min. for my omelette. Food is fresh. The display wasn't very big, but a little of everything.

Tried to have breakfast - wait staff no-where to be found. After 45 minutes, we were only able to get Coffee and OJ - we gave up and left for our meeting. If your not having the buffet, plan on a long wait to get breakfast.

Scheduling and weather had my wife and i having dinner here twice. Generally not a big fan of hotel food. This is unpretentious and adjoins the lobby, so forget ambiance. Their warm olive appetizer is wonderful and a steal for $6 Canadian. Service is friendly, prompt and courteous. Either we got lucky twice or they just always do a nice... More

To start off, I often evaluate hotel eats and regular restaurant eats differently...as usually hotel eats suck. But this breakfast was great. I think Mizzen is only open for breakfast....but it was delicious. Chef Corbin planned the menu - and it did not disappoint. My dish had great flavour - came hot - and was a great surprise. the only... More

I love a good breakfast This is a great breakfast buffet but sometimes it is cold. On my last visit the french toast was cold but the waitress came to my rescue and went to the kitchen and came back with very hot and freshly cooked french toast. They are great. Fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, french toast, pastries, muffins, sausages... More

$30 breakfast Buffet. Variety is very good and food is hot. Many made from scratch items. Can get this package added to your room at a discount.

"Mizzen" is a good name for the restaurant. Among the things mizzen were food quality and service. Avoid the breakfast buffet. Food was dried out, barely lukewarm (bacon barely cooked) and service was inattentive. At $27.00<!> you deserve better.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
