Love the new decor. This spot is great for business lunch or drinks. Never had a bad meal and I've tried a few. The duck is excellent.

We went here for brunch and the food was great. I especially enjoyed the Pulled Pork Primanti and the Belgian Frites. If you're in the area I definitely recommend this place!

Ate here at the end of January. Was a birthday celebration. Beer samples were good; but the food was "meh". Have eaten here before so have a basis to compare. Food was cold; did return it and get a replacement, but the dishes we ordered were unimpressive. Could attribute all this to the fact that they just opened after renovations... More

I was in Toronto with colleagues and one managed to get us the Chef's table at Beer Bistro. This was an excellent experience as I loved watching everything be prepared in front of us. It's really that experience that has driven my rating. The food itself was good without being outstanding, but another perk was the selection of beers, which... More

Incredible collection of beer from all over as well as delicious menu items - whether you are looking for appetizers, entrees, small group, or large group. This place was so great - we actually enjoyed dinner here one night, went to see a show, and then came back for a late-night snack with drinks. TIP - the fondue is DELICIOUS!!!

As the name suggests they have beer. Good beer - very wide range of draft and bottles including a number of local craft beers Food was good, I enjoyed the beer fondue. Good atmosphere. Even though they were apparently down one cook and server on the night we went the service was still prompt and friendly

Wonderful food and great value. Cod cakes, tacos and signature fries, pear bread pudding is to die for ! (photos). Had friendly service, and a comfortable seating area. Every dish is made with beer but so subtle that it's a real treat. Even had beer ice cream. It's a must for anyone visiting the city. Easy to find, signed from... More

Mussels and beer, great service. Went for a flight of beer and mussels, difficult to decide which sauce to choose with the mussels, the server made great suggestions, definitely going back for more.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
