We live nearby this restaurant. Eat out nearby all the time. Seen this restaurant a million times and have never gone in...not sure why not. Saw it on Trip Advisor and based on the reviews decided to try it. Thank god we did! It was OUTSTANDING! everything was fresh ingredients, homemade, decor was very cool. I felt like at I... More

We had a great experience at Milagro. We were quickly seated, and quickly served. This was important because we were going to a show later (I'm sure they get this, they're just off King Street where many of the big theatres are). We liked pretty much everything. The guacamole was very good, the queso fundido also. I had the mole... More

We reserved for a Thursday night dinner before going to the theatre. When we arrived the restaurant was empty (soon got very busy) but the host was unwelcoming and we felt uncomfortable and considered leaving. The waiter was friendly though and the food was fresh and tasty and he explained what each thing was as he brought it to the... More

Fun and lively atmosphere! The food is good - there might be more "authentic" Mexican in the city, but for me, the flavours were great and portions were great for the price! The guacamole and Margaritas were excellent to boot! The best part of our visit? The accommodating staff! We had a friend in from out of town and our... More

Wow. What can I say. From the atmosphere to the service to the food. It was all perfect and authentic. Alexis is a gem of a director and treated us like family. I totally recommend this place for authentic Mexican food served by knowledgable folks with great personality. We had cantina plates and playaros. Yum yum yum.

The atmosphere is decent, good location, service really friendly - but the food... Not worth the $$. It's not expensive but overpriced for the quality. Our enchilada corn tortillas were definitely microwaved, the sauces were bland and extremely salty. Hopefully just a bad night in the kitchen...?

A good location and a nice room with an open kitchen. Service was quick professional and attentive. A fairly large menu of what they call traditional Mexican fare. The chips are quite thick and come with a smokey salsa that is quite good. I ordered an appetizer with guacamole, bean purée and pico. The pico needed cilantro and not so... More

I came here with a group of co-workers for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant gets pretty busy so overall the service was a tad on the slow side. We started off by sharing tortilla chips and guacamole. The guacamole was really good! It tasted so fresh and flavourful. The majority of the group ordered tacos which they were satisfied... More

We visited Milagro for a late brunch on Sunday and had very quick service. The food portions were really big, and we definitely couldn't finish everything. The red sangria was also really good. There weren't many vegan options but there were some veggie options which could be made vegan by omitting the cheese. I had some really good mushroom tacos... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
