Had three different chicken dishes all excellent very different and perfectly flavoured. It was lunch time but the food was freshly cooked and well presented. Only... More

Obviously the people serving have no experience in customer relations. I could write a short story about how absolutely atrocious the service was. From having to listen to one "server" complain endlessly about her colleague being late to said colleague finally arriving and being just about the rudest and most incompetent person I've ever encountered but I won't. The food... More

Went to this fantastic little Jamaican place near Main and Gerrard. Very affordable and very tasty jerk chicken and other Jamaican specialties. Extremely friendly service. A great find.

I live not to far from here so have probably eaten here more times that I would like to admit. It you like Jerk Chicken, they offer the best in the city hands down!! I've also had most other items on the menu and have never been disappointed.

We were in the beaches area and wanted to try something other than the bars, fusion thai and japanese restaurants along Queen St. East, near Woodbine. We googled this place and it was a pleasant surprise. It is a little restaurant in a neighborhood that is more residential than commercial. The decor is simple and has some nice Jamaican artwork.... Great place for Jamaican in East End/Beaches. I've eaten Jamaican food all over Toronto and think this is the best Jamaican in the City. The place is quaint and friendly. I love the window tables.

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
