I feel like Im torn in how to fairly rate Relish. The live jazz music was a definate draw and the musicians, talented. The food and the service, however, left much to be desired. Getting seated took much too long. The place was half empty, although most tables had reserved signs on them and the place filled up quickly. We... More

I visit Relish regularly both with my family and to meet up with friends. It never disappoints. Amazing food, great beer menu, friendly service. It's not a big place and fills up quickly but that just adds to the great atmosphere along with the generally fantastic live music.

We were meeting friends who had been here before. But little did they know that the two bands that were playing had a huge following. We did not make reservations, but there was one stool at the bar which I sat at while we waited on our friends. We ordered a couple of drinks and were jostled here and there... More

We have gone here a few times to celebrate birthdays and have a beer and desert. The atmosphere is the best. Good service lots of selection. Will go again. right along the subway line so you can walk as little or as much as you want.

In the neighbourhood and decided to check this place out...the food was surprisingly good - meatballs and banana toffee pie were the highlights but the prices are quite steep given its location (e.g., glass of wine). We ordered a few cocktails which were poorly executed in my opinion.

Was looking for a local spot with good food, live music and casual dress and we found it. The Relish is conveniently located within walking distance of subway, the tapas food was plentiful, with good variety. The lobster potstickers were delicious, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, service was fast and the band was entertaining. Nice hidden gem:)

We love Relish and have eaten there on numerous occasions (as a couple or with friends) to listen to live music. The menu is tapas style and everything is fresh and tasty. Portions are pretty big so you don't need to overdo it. Love the grilled calamari, white bean duck and chorizo casserole, any of their fresh soups and lobster... More

I have been to this restaurant many times over the past few years. The food is always delicious. It's a tapas menu, so I get to try several different dishes each time. The lamb empanadas are so good! I have never had one I didn't like (except for the Nutella cheesecake - it was horrible). I have gone with friends... More

I had so much fun at their karaoke night. Great crowd, wonderful drinks and funny baetenders. Also love tapas places. It's a great way to enjoy a bunch of different things without feeling like a pig lol. Oink.

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
