We dropped in for lunch with a friend and had a great time and the food was good. The staff were welcoming and accommodating as they could be. The space, however, isn't wheelchair friendly, I managed to negotiate but it wasn't easy. The washroom is completely inaccessible. I'd go again but I'd avoid it when crowded because it would be... This old staple of the pub scene has just reopened after a full makeover. New look and feel - less Irish pub - more light - feels very spacious. New menu - great beer selection and feature drink - and to live up to the Pub & Kitchen tag line, they have great food items - elk burger wow'd me.... More

The atmosphere and the drinks here were nice, but you could honestly smell the bathrooms as soon as you walked in the main door! Thank god we sat outside!!

Didn't really know where places were and Pogue Mahone had a nice patio on a side street so we tried it. Good beer choices, good service, average burgers. I was disappointed since when I indulge I like it to be worth the calories. This one was pretty ordinary. Oh well.

having just landed in toronto and made our way to our apartment, we then went on the prowl for something to eat, it was late in the evening. We had a lovely meal, burgers were lovely, beer was very good and the server took the time to explain the different beers in accordance with our tastes. Would definitely recommend it

We stopped into Pogue Mahones for a quick lunch, having business in the Bay St. area. We sat outside on the patio which was nice except for the pigeons which insisted on visiting there. The service was fast and the wait staff were friendly. I ordered the haddock and my friend ordered the club sandwich. Both were good and the... More

Met up with a friend I have seen in a while, we need a lunch spot an Pogue Mahone was in the area we picked it because of the patio since it was such a beautiful day. Just so happens that it was the first day of summerlicious there was a summerlicious lunch menu so we tried it. The food... More

Average pub, but their brunch is quite nice. They have a wide array of fixings to make your own Caesar (great for only $4), Mimosas are also only $4 for Brunch. The food came quickly and was tasty, and they have a large refreshing patio. Overall would come back for breakfast, but not for dinner.

We popped in here on a Friday night for quick late-night drinks and appies. The place was really busy, and it looked to be that there were only 2 waitresses working the entire restaurant. You could tell they were incredibly busy, but the waitress was awesome, despite the fact that she was swamped with tables. (Like one of the best... More

My wife and I stop over for dinner but were caught up in a Raptors game. WOW . We were facing each other and it looked as if we were in a silence movie. Speaking but no hearing a word we were speaking. The food was great. We had fish and chips just like English style. Nevertheless, we had a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
