Try the chilli chicken and the crispy ginger beef. Fabulous. We actually were told about this restaurant in Bobcaygeon, Ontario.

I had Hakka for the first time and what a culinary discovery. While what I ordered was not as spicy as I would have wanted, the fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisine is really flavorful. I ordered 2 dishes and they were heaping portions! I normally don't have dessert but I decided to try the fried bananas with ice cream... More

My Birthday is in the first week of January and my wife and I were planning on going out for dinner. In the last minute we decided on Chinese and rather than going further a field we thought we would eat locally. Loved the food at the Danforth Dragon. The chicken fried rice was excellent as was the ginger pork.... More

Hakka Chinese food is not for the timid. It is a challenging cuisine to like and to prepare properly. Danforth Dragon knows their Hakka. If you have any doubts, just ask them. My group did and we got some excellent recommendations. The Curry Chicken and the Manchurian Paneer with Chinese Greens were especially good, but not a bad dish in... More

They have very nice staff who are knowledgable about the Hakka style of food they serve. Ordering your normal favourites from here is at best average though reasonably priced. Ask them about their house cuisine or all time favorites, otherwise you are not likely to be that impressed.

Like the poster below me said, i order the soup and it was pretty terrible. I hated the chicken pieces, it felt mushy and undercooked, The taste is similar to other hakka estabislishement. Had the chilli chicken and it was decent but once again the chicken felt undercooked. The price was a little on the high side but service was... More

Ordered multiple dishes for delivery. The order arrived in less than 30 minutes. The hot and sour soup was terrible no taste at all, very watery and odd in color. The menchurian chicken was bland in taste and a strange color as well. All the food lacked seasoning and was watered down/under seasoned. When we called to complained the owner... More

How this place gets any positive reviews is beyond me. I ordered satay, curry and kung pao for delivery. All 3 were nearly identical - greasy sauce (which pretty much all tasted the same), vegetables and gristle. Honestly, probably the worst food I have ever ordered (I and order a lot). Unless you think mall food court food is haute... More

Ordered from Just Eat. Really standard Chinese food. Nothing special. Won't order the regular food again but might try Hakka.

Nice people and service. On this first time, I like the Chinese dishes more than the Indian ones; as my first time the former dishes were excellent; the Indian ones were interesting but different from my experience. I will come back here for sure!

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
