Definitely not a fancy restaurant - more like the Indian restaurants on Gerrard Street. However, the food is fantastic, as is the presentation. We ate there for Summerlicious and found the value amazing (4 course meal for $25!) Would definitely go back.

Very good food. Great service. Pretty straight ahead Indian food in a nice room. I enjoyed it all very much.

For starters, don't use open table to book as I booked for Tues July 14 for lunch, went there for my reserved time after walking 30 min to get there only to find out the restaurant was closed!

Glad to have visited the place during Summerlicious as I wouldn't have paid the full price for the dining experience. The food was alright per price paid, nothing too special. However, the service was not very good. We went as a group of 5 and ordered from the summerlicious menu (nothing complicated). The restaurant wasn't packed either, just 3 tables... More

I went with my husband for dinner and we had ordered chilli paneer which was very sweet, and side dish raita was served in such a small bowl that you get to eat 3-4 spoons and its finished. I liked rest of the food though. About the service, there were 3 tables occupied and 2 waiters were there but still... More

Sorry for the delayed review(better late than never) Me and my lovely wife went there on the 14th feb. Had reserved a table in advance to avoid waiting times. The restaurant looked good and busy. The best thing we liked was the food. We went in for a four course pre fix meal; soup, starter, mains and dessert and to... More

Me and my fiancée came in one night for the winterlicious promotion after work. The restaurant was not even half full and they said they needed reservations. The inside of the restaurant was terribly cold. We were seated at a small table that barely fit our dishes and drinks. Our waiter Bala, was almost nonexistent and only came to the... More

The service was very professional. Always with a smile. We ordered from the price fix menu for Valentines. We had the aloo gobi soup to start which was perfect coming in from the cold. Followed by the chicken tikka and garlic shrimp, tasted so good. Then on to our mains, butter chicken and the lobster with shrimp curry..both served with... More

I had lunch at 5th Element a week ago as part of the Toronto Winterlicious restaurant promotion. 5th Element won some points from me before I even got there, as I was having problems finding a Winterlicious menu with three courses I could eat. (I'm pescatarian - vegetarian and fish- but don't eat all food in that range.) 5th Element's... More

Very subtle usage of spices. Absolutely love the Korma and Masala Lamb/Mutton. I miss Indian food back home in Malaysia and I must say that 5th Elementt satisfied my cravings. The food here taste different and exceptionally tasty! The staff are very friendly and polite...
