It was an unfortunate experience. We were surrounded by large groups of screaming children running through the restaurant - a customer stepped in. Sorry but restaurant management should have done something beforehand. Service was ok...our waiter not the best. Didn't mention the daily specials - and got one order incorrect. Too bad - as we enjoyed our last time there.... More

Not a single complaint about Coquine. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was divine, and our server Bess went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. They closed the kitchen early due to a slow night, but still made us feel welcome and not rushed despite being the last group in the restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend this... More

I am not a huge fan of kale, but I tried the kale Caesar salad as there was no option for romaine lettuce. Chewy and under-dressed. My steak was rare instead of med-rare, and cold - the compound butter on top didn't even melt slightly. I had end bits of frites, with kale (once again) on the side. Disappointed with... More

A tasty meal for a large group, but on the pricey side. Service was most personable, although on the slow side for a busy evening. Convenient location.

Excellent service and excellent food. Very rich and delectable. Not your usual type...made for the palette that knows food. Each item was the better than the last.

Really nice breakfast there with friends. Staff could be more gracious with offering help with where to place stroller, offer high chair, etc, but otherwise, nice meal.

We are regulars here and came here after having a terrible experience at La Societe. The escargot and steak frites here were perfect as always. Great service as usual.

Brunch on the patio was delicious! I had the best crepe! Crepe au Poulet with mushrooms, spinach and Briie! Excellent service on a charming patio.

But if you are after real French food, this is not it. It is a standard menu with steak and frites( covered in Parmesan cheese) etc. for an upscale price. It is raucous and not a place for a dinner a deux.

Attended a team dinner at this restaurant. Wait staff were excellent and very helpful with suggestions. Food was very well prepared, generous portions and tasted great ! ... would definitely return.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
