For many months my husband and daughter have encouraged me to check out Aji Sai Japanese Restaurant located a few blocks south of Yonge and Bloor. It is a great place to sample a wide variety of menu options with friends or family including soups, salads, rice, sushi, vegetable / fish / meat dishes and dessert items. We paid $14.99... More

well, where should I start.. The place is half empty. Interior a bit dirty, sticky tables, feels neglected. 50 minutes waiting for food to come. We were waiting 20 min just to get the menu, but gave up and got one by ourselves. About half the orders were never brought, asked for ginger/ Wasabi but gave up after fifth time... More

A friend recommended this place for the all-u-can eat sushi for $ 22. Came after work on the Blue Jays last game of the ALCS. I wanted oysters and this place serves plump ones for $ 1 each Monday to Wednesday. A little resistance that we were not both eating the AYCE sushi but they relented. You order your AYCE... More

The header is pretty much self-explanatory. This AYCE place is slightly cheaper (by about 2 dollars per person). Modern iPad ordering suggests somewhat upscale food and service, so first disappointment was that it took almost 30 minutes to get the first batch of stuff, but much worse was that all dishes including rolls, salads and sushi were mediocre to say... Good food nice selection but really really bad service. Prepare to wait for her long time. Once she is there she isn't listening she is in a hurry. On another hand she is alone fir entire place. Not a good idea. Good food once you get it Prepare for noise of plates falling arranging etc. she didn't care that place... More

I love this place. First of all it is all you can eat. For lunch we paid $12.99 per person if I remember correctly. And the food is excellent. Unlike a buffet, you are seated at a table and you mark a menu for the items you want to be brought to your table to eat. Everything from sushi, tempura,... More

A friend and I went in for lunch on a Friday. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait to be seated. We were given the menu card to make our all you can eat choices - looked to have some really good choices, which included edamame, sashimi, teriyaki salmon, etc. We made our selections, which took about 10... Sushi was very good, but the dinner menu was somewhat lacking in variety. Some of the non-sushi items were not as descriptive (pictures would have been helpful). Luckily portion sizes are small enough for the all you can eat so that you can sample a little bit of everything. Waiters were very friendly and attentive.

Loved the ratio of fish to rice. Amazing barbecued tuna sushi! Sushi pieces are small but we love that in sushi all-you-can eat so we can sample a lot of things, and with AYCE -no worries about having enough to eat. Rice is fresh and soft. Fish is fresh. Barbecued White Tuna Sushi and Salmon Rose were great! Excellent value!

This place isn't anything to write home about. It's good but not great. But, if you want to get your fill. If you want to eat so much you wonder how the ocean does it. If you want to order several deserts, then decide to go back for another main course. This is your spot! It isn't bad for All... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
