A&W has stepped up their game. Their burgers for the price are excellent. If you like a breakfast sandwich, try A&W. Very fresh ingredients, choice of white bread or whole wheat bun. Regular or sweet potato fries. I had the Mama Burger meal. Really tasty and yes I did have the fries and went for sweet potato. For the price,... More

Here's the Irony, they have a fantastic $4.99 breakfast special going on, but then they chase customers away by having 1 person...ONE PERSON behind the counter at the height of the breakfast period. They are positioned (not sure whose brilliant idea this was) directly beside Tim Horton's....so they're already behind the 8 ball or at least beside it. I stood... More

Ok tell you something huh! So I go this place for breakfast and I not like it so much! I am not sure what is worse the food or the service! Breakfast cost so much for small portions and it not tasting good! Service? What service, staff act like serving customers is some kind of big inconvenience!

How can A&W CA be so much better than the US ? It is like night and day, Canada offers grass fed beef and no hormone chickens.. Breakfast is on plates with knifes and forks... The food is so much better than the US.... Fabulous and worth the stop

Always treated like a King and Queen when you visit with your younger Princesses and Princes. Good food, good value, freshly prepared and great for families. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for vegetarian burger, A&W is the right place. Other preparations are also good as told by others who love to eat non vegetarian stuff.

Of all the burger chains I think A&W has the best burgers. They are very tasty and have no added hormones etc.I particularly like their Buddy Burger and their Uncle Burger. Their sweet potato fries are also quite good.Their root beer is excellent and they have a diet version as well.

This is for the location on Yonge north of College. Horrible, inedible fries. After waiting for 5 minutes for the burger (which was okay) I get rubbery fries that had been sitting for how long? Counter staff don't care. Move 'em in, move 'em out.

Eaton Center food court. Great speed of service from the short wait in line to order, to having the food ready, however, it's disappointing when you get exactly the opposite of your toppings special instruction. Instead of only cheeze (extra price paid for chz) I got everything except the chz.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
