If you like Korean food beyond the cliche grilled beef, by all means eat here. My favourite on the very limited menu, which includes vegetarian dishes, is the bulgogi soup, a great winter meal. it's loaded with beef, filling, wonderful flavour, soul satisfying. Meals come with unique purple rice in a stone bowl, unlimited cold sides like kimchi, and the... More

Went there for dinner, the restaurant serves limited varieties of Korean soup, but the tofu soup was absolutely delicious! Perfect dinner or lunch for cold winter day.

We stopped here after asking a local on the street where the best Korean restaurant was in the neighborhood. This place definitely did not disappoint! I had a tofu stew that was fantastic and the side dishes were delicious as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great meal that was inexpensive. Utensils are on the... I used to frequent this place when I worked in that area. What a treat! Nestled amongst tons of other Korean restaurants, this one shines! Definitely the best in that area, in my opinion. The simple restaurant (clean, non-flashy decor), serves an amazing meal that is so delicious and fulfilling. Service is quick and efficient. Meals come with some traditional... More

We came here specifically for the seafood soon tofu chige and were not disappointed. We had to queue for a little, but the speedy service makes for quick turnover. Basic, but very good food.

Stopped by out of the blue on a Friday afternoon in late August. Love Korean BBQ so was excited to try this place and broaden our horizons even more. Place was busy but we were seated within a couple of minutes. A little confusing at first but we muddled through it. Cold water in a Rubbermaid container and cups we... More

I got the dumpling soon tofu but it was kind of diluted and my friends tasted it and agreed :( ive had better from Mu Goong Hwa in Ottawa, which is craaaazy since this is in Koreatown. But then again, Mu Goong Hwa's beef tofu soup is amazing! The kimchi one tasted good tho! And the bibimbap was good. The... More

This was my first time having Korean food and my first time in Toronto! Walked by it while wandering through Korea Town and it was packed. Staff were friendly, food was quick, cheap and cheerful! Dumplings were delicious!

This is a star in Little Korea. Limited menu but what they do is very tasty. Bibimbap has a good selection of vegetables and beef and the rice on the edge gets so crunchy - yum. You get water and/or barley tea and the small plates of natto, sprouts, pickled radish and kimchi are nicely size (can always ask for... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
