Worst customer service ever! Girls at the front never take orders properly. Your chicken is dry! Jerk chicken fried chicken...doesn’t matter, it’s dry! Waitresses are full of attitude. Oxtail is hit or miss...inconsistent portions. I have yet to go into this store and they make...More

Compared to some other places in Toronto...The Real Jerk has hospitality on point. The food is delicious! The dumplings with oxtail gravy was a fave and the oxtail dinner is fantastic! It's all good here! Everything!

I've been here a few times but haven't sampled too much of the menu because I can't stop getting the quarter chicken dinner (jerk chicken, plantain, coleslaw, rice & beans). They make amazing jerk chicken with huge portions - never been disappointed with it. I've...More

The food is awesome and a tourist attraction for those who are Drake and Rihanna fans. This restaurant is where they taped Rihanna's Work video. Aside from that, this authentic Jamaican restaurant is a must visit. They have quite a selection of food items to...More

Food is always good and atmosphere is great. Prices are also very reasonable. Not the best west indian food you can get but one of the better restaurants for it. Nice decor/vibe

Good but not exceptional. The service was slow, we felt it was the restaurant strategy to make us order more drinks, cocktails. And music was so loud that it was hard to avoid your neighbour's splits in your plate when talking.

East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that
team up to make this district one of the most
multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT
community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or
night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its
thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more
relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection
of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets,

We have moved to a new location at Gerrard and Carlaw. The Real Jerk is a cultural icon that burst on to the Toronto food scene in 1984. Most new customers are awestruck by the decor which is inspired by beach restaurants in Jamaica, Trinidad, or Cuba. The restaurant had been at its previous location for 24 years and featured a dramatic facade that drew you in and got you hooked on the signature Jerk dishes. As they say at the Real Jerk "we don't just sell food, we celebrate Caribbean culture". Ed and Lilly Pottinger brought their uniquely Caribbean cuisine and widely popular decor to Queen Street East. It has been a mainstay ever since. If your having a special occasion or simply need wholesome comfort food on a cold winter day, the Real Jerk is the place to be. This 80 seat restaurant is also available for theme parties, movie shoots, and catering special events. Simply call to make a reservation.Come and experience what tens of thousands of Torontonians and tourists have already enjoyed over the years.Everything will be irie....
