Been eating here for years and the food is consistently delicious. Owner is extremely friendly and staff top notch. Outdoor patio is opening soon and is an excellent place for eating and people watching on Queen. M

We've been going to Sauvignon since it opened and it has always been consistent. Lovely atmosphere, good food and great service. Although the owner and the name are French that is not how I'd describe the food. I recently had their appetizer meatballs (nicely spicy) and Caesar salad (traditional.) A perfect amount of food when you're not starving. My boyfriend... More

We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened back in 1998. We have never been disappointed. Food is consistently fresh, prepared well and presented with flare. The menu is limited but there is always something for everyone. Stefan and Gregoire have definitely been consistent in keeping this the best restaurant in the Beach. This is our "go to"... More

I celebrated my engagement here 16 years ago and it is still top notch. Food is spectacular- you can't miss the oricheiette with spicy chorizo. It is mouth watering. The service is even more wonderful. Elegant and consistent.

Such a great neighborhood restaurant. Lovely ambiance. Great patio when the weather is good. And great food. The wine list is okay -- my only desire would be for BYO Wine!

Sauvignon has become a staple of the beach neighbourhood. Located just west of Woodbine Ave on Queen St, Sauvignon is a regular restaurant for my family and friends. The interior is cozy and warm with a French bistro atmosphere. Intimate seating available for 2's , 4's and larger gatherings. The menu never disappoints, regular menu items change every few months.... More

3 of us had the pasta special. Delicious and just the right amount. Then there were the desserts - out of this world. Not to mention the great server from Newfoundland with her so friendly presence!

Thank Marianna H

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
