We dropped in on this restaurant a week back. The special we had (Halibut) was poached to perfection. The Servers we had were pleasant and helpful with menu selections, but we were most happy with the Halibut special. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Came for lunch on a slow Saturday on the Victoria Day holiday weekend. We almost left with the terrible attitude the hostess showed us. Her huffing and throwing of menus and slamming bread down is really unacceptable. As we were preparing to go, our server...More

You cant come to Canada and not have lobster at least once. So we dos just that. Started with a red chowder and then a 2 pound lobby. What an awesome treat! Good Pinot Grigio to wash it down as well. Good service. Good place.

If you like seafood, cannot recommend enough. Start with the oysters, they go great with the spicy Bloody Mary. We ate the lobster - with no regrets. A nice slow casual evening!

Downstairs oyster bar - huge range of oysters and good friendly vibe. Both New England and Manhattan chowder were nice but overpriced for the small cup portion.

Rodney's oyster house lived up to its trip advisor rating and provided myself and my group with a fresh seafood dining experience we cannot match where we live. As per usual when I am broadening my horizons with seafood I asked for and received an...More

Brent; Thanks so much for your visit, and your compliments. Good note on the seafood - we appreciate those who understand that we try to do only one thing well. Heartbreak for the martini-lovers and those who crave steak (our neighbour Jacobs does a great...More

Went for dinner before the Jays game. Sat by the bar. Started with 2 dozen oysters. Fresh and tasty. Had the fried soft shell crab. The aioli was nice. The slaw was good but a little too much onion so it dominated the taste.

This is just a very cool and relaxing place. Professional but very cool and laid back staff. You have guest coming for business dinners in suits but also very casually dressed guests. I recommend platter of oysters but also try some other plates-I usually share...More

Rodney's is a Toronto institution and if you love oysters, and seafood in general, then this is the place to come. The restaurant occupies a kitschy space on King St. West - lots of wood, a giant bar and maritime decorations. The front page of...More

Thanks, John. Great info in your post for potential visitors. A seat at the Oyster Bar (first-come, first-served only) is really the best seat in the House - don't fret if you can't get a reservation, as we've got about 44 bar seats for walk-ins...More

When we have them in (which is most days) they are available lunch and dinner. We steam them, and serve them with a drawn butter broth for dipping.

Andy; We don't have a standard Surf and Turf dish on our menu. We will put one on our 'White Plate Specials' from time to time, but in general, if that's your hankering, bring a friend, and order a lobster (1.5-2lbs) and a... More

Rodney Clark has been offering oysters to the masses in Toronto for over 30 years. Our selection changes daily, but we carry on average 12-18 different varieties from around the world. We also strive to offer the finest in fresh seafood, sourced from sustainable fisheries - as we work primarily with fresh product, you'll have to come down and see what's coming through our doors this week.
