So we had four of us and we're unsure if a Friday, after work biz meeting would work, because it's popular and could have been noisy....We landed an awesome table, server was fantastic, didn't pester us, knowing full well we were having a biz meeting. Oysters, so fresh, great bottle of wine.....WOW, great job guys !!! We'll be back

I really enjoyed the Sri Lankan shrimp curry with my wife at this place. It was very unique for me trying that curry with shrimp. My wife loved the oysters she had. We recieved great service since the moment we walked in. I would highly recommend this place for lunch.

Rodney was in the house on Thursday! Oysters! Gigantic Shrimp! A great bottle of Pino Grigio! Freshest oysters on the planet! When you leave the restaurant Rodney tells you to take a loaf of bread. Break off little pieces on your way home so you can find your way back!!

This is a great restaurant but what makes it an amazing experience is talking with your server about the many different types and flavours of oysters to find the right one for your palette. When eating seafood, particularly fresh oysters you want to know that your quality and freshness is part of the taste....you will not be disappointed. The decor... More

We came for the Fresh King Crab dinner. My comments: You must remember that this is a very expensive dinner not the usual $20 - $35 entree. So here goes my thoughts for $700.00 Fresh King Crab dinner for two. We were seated at a passageway end table did't feel very special . Service was good and friendly. You pay... More

We had an absolutely delicious dinner last night.....my husband and I on a couple day get away. We are not very experienced with oyster bars but wanted to try it. We had the most amazing and helpful waitress.....a dark haired angel of a waitress! The oysters were her suggestion and delicious! Our lobster sandwich platter was also delicious, another suggestion... More

Hubby and I walked in without a reservation late on Saturday night. We were able to sit at the bar. Atmosphere was great with everyone having a good, lively time. The service was great! David, Kelly, and Matt were attentive, friendly, and spent time telling us where the oysters were from, what flavor profiles each had, and what sauces were... More

We visited Rodney's for the first time tonight and I'm sad I hadn't been before. We started with 2 seafood platters, then clam chowder, a whole 10lb crab and a beautifully cooked red snapper. It was the best seafood I'd had so far from the ocean in a LONG time, and our server was really great; Never had an empty... More

The seafood spreads at Rodney's are amazing! We selected garlic shrimp, mussels, Dungeness crab, lobster, and calamari (the best we've ever had!). Our spread came out on a shareable board making it easy to enjoy a bit of everything. We could have done a second round! For dessert the lime pie is delicious. Next time we go we will splurge... Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
