There is nothing special about the food here. I wish I could say sth different. Just your typical Greek food. Quality for me was average. The dips were ok. I ordered the grilled calamari but I found it too salty... Everything tasted too salty.. So... I don't think I'll return.

The food, staff and ambiance transported you to Greece. You felt right at home. A very relaxing atmosphere here. The food was excellent and fresh. Starting from the mezedes/tapas to dessert. The restaurant was busy yet you still had great service and everyone had time to speak with you, making sure you had what you needed. Our group did the... More

It was many many many yeas ago when I walked into Ouzerie on the Danforth. I liked it, really liked it. The atmosphere, ambiance, the service, food...all just perfect. It was, as I vaguely recall, a cold and wintery night, not unlike the one the other night. Just the right kind of night for a stroll along one of my... More

Super busy but comfortable and not too noisy. Meze, Gigante and Mydia all tasty choices for starters. The Meze would have been ample for two. Spanakopita as a main with a fresh salad was delicious, flaky and light. Loved the baklava, full of nuts and honey. Did get the flavour of Bailey's in the creme brule. Only drawback of the... More

Wasn't thrilled our reservation couldn't be found on the opening night of Winterlicious 2017, but they moved quickly to prepare us a new table. Service throughout the night was very quick, the food was flying out of the kitchen; portions were generously large, had leftovers for sure. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to this Greek restaurant, flavors tasted authentic. If... More

I'm so glad we chose Ouzeri Restaurant. The service was phenomenal and the food was one of the best meals I've had in a while. I would most definitely go back again. Especially for the Lamb Rosemary pie and their grilled octopus. The restaurant itself is beautiful with its multintiered levels and high ceilings. Overall a great evening and wonderful... More

very friendly and knowledgable staff, great food and drinks We shared meze as appetizers: humus, tsatsiki, melanzane. My husband enjoyed the octopus and we shared other delicious and nicely presented dishes. Overall an excellent dinner!

I can remember Ouzeri soon after it opened...with a tapas-based menu and a decor that seemed more open and clean and bright than the other Danforth souvlaki joints. More lately, there's been some regression to the mean: the menu looks closer to the average, and the decor is in need of sprucing up. But it's still a special place. We... More

Excellent food! My wife and I have had chicken souvlaki, it was tasty and the portions were generous. Even if we were in October, the restaurant was still proposing the 'summerlicious' dinner for 28 dollars: I had the avgolemono soup (delicious), chicken souvlaki and baklava in dessert (the best baklava I have had in a long time)! I definitely recommend... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
