I found the menu did not have a great selection. I had the burger special with everything extra, ended up costing more than a good meal at other restaurants. What really annoyed me was the charge of $3.50 for coffee with no refill

I have been to Murphys Law MANY times. It was a staple of the neighborhood for many years, it's been well over a decade that I have been a patron of this establishment. We went in last night for a birthday celebration with friends. The menu has changed significantly, but we gave it a shot. I ordered from the winterlicious... More

The staff quickly became my friends and the food was AWESOME. I was a server for 22 years and I trained staff as well and I would be proud to work along side these young people.

...the crunchy chicken sandwich from Murphy's Law was the BEST. DAMN. CHICKEN. SANDWICH. EVER!!! And that's all I have to say. I crave it often. Too bad I live about 5 hours away from Toronto. The only thing that would have made it better is if they would have comped it because the drunk girl next to me that wouldn't... More

Absolutely great fish and chips , the batter was done perfectly , tasty and well displayed , along with an ice cold frosty one , it hit the spot. Definitely a return visit.

I gave it 5 because of the great service. I ordered my meal and when I tasted cilantro (which I can't Stand) the waiter offered to remake it again, no charge. When I still tasted cilantro in the remade dish, it was discovered that cilantro was in the stock that they use for the sauce and my taste buds are... More

Other than my 3 A+'s for Murphy's Law's great name, great building (from the outside at least) and great location, all else was (and, trust me I'm being kind) BRUTALY BAD for this Leslieville Pub. Not only did our beers arrive flat (though fair is fair - kudos for replacing) 3 of our 4 food orders arrived grossly overcooked (visually... More

This is a great looking pub-style restaurant with a rooftop patio offering tremendous views of the beaches area and Woodbine Park. They have a good selection of mixed drinks and beer and the menu seemed to be nicely varied as well. I ordered a Caesar and was directed towards their Caesar bar which had a large selection of garnishes and... More

Been there a few times in the past 4 years and each time just a bit disappointed. Either felt really dirty or the service was SLOW or the food was lousy. No real need to go back there, especially when the "nicer" bars (Lion, Gull, Salty) are just down the street.

This was the first restaurant we visited while in Canada . The service we received was outstanding .. The food was very good as well as the drinks . Plenty of outside dining . We chose to sit in the back patio . It was a very nice evening . If in the area again - we will dine here... More

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
