Good selection of true French cuisine. Very attentive staff and an elegant but approachable looking establishment. A hidden gem in the area for sure.

This used to be one of our favourite restaurants and we used to visit 2-3 times each year. Well, we moved to Thornhill and although it's not far, we haven't been here in 2 or 3 years. I'm very pleased to say that this place has remained as one of our favorites! Ambience, food, playing and service all fabulous. Wine... More

Went with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. Nice ambiance, the music was playing in the background low so i asked to have a music a little louder so i can hear the French music which they accommodated. 3 of us had the beef tenderloin which was probably the best i had in Toronto. One of my friends... More

We have been going to Le Montmartre, for special occasions, for several years. It never disappoints. The quality of the food and the service is excellent.

We sort of raided this place on the way to the airport for an evening departure. We did not rush but could not do the place justice either. It seemed to be delightfully old fashioned. The menu unchanged from what would have been served in France decades ago, no fancy modern nonsense. Well either done well will do and for... More

I will not repeat the bad experience for food, service and ladies washrooms. The food was brought after we asked and asked for an hour. It came and was... raw the lamb and my frog legs were smelling blood. The service was awful never showed for asking if we needed anything. two lousy servers weren't enough and we had to... More

What a delight this little bistro was. We went with relatives who are Toronto locals and were so glad they introduced us to this little place. It was a Friday night and there was hardly anyone there. I can't imagine why not. This place has a wonderfully authentic feel and is just like many great little bistros to be found... More

This restaurant is hidden gem in North York. The menu has not changed in 20 years. It is classic French cuisine from a chef who was trained in France. From escargot to frogs legs, the most amazing lobster bisque and my favourite duck a l'orange. But today Mdm Caradant went above and beyond. Although they do not have take out,... More

We visited this delightful bistro a few streets =north of the 401 highway. It is located in an improbable strip mall, next to a gas station. However, once you get inside, your atmosphere changes. Tastefully furnished, unpretentious , warm and cozy. The dining area is divided into smaller areas, providing added intimacy and privacy. The welcome is warm and there... More

Four of us arrived for lunch. The food was perfectly cooked - wonderful fish with a creamy dill sauce, along with roasted potatoes and presented very nicely; service was very friendly. They did seem short-handed with the sole server rushing around from table to table, but nevertheless served us in a timely and friendly manner. The atmosphere transforms you to... More
