Maybe it's growing up in Toronto that makes restaurants like Korean Village make me feel like a kid again, but stepping inside this family run joint is like crossing the threshold into a friend's apartment at age 11. The smell of the food, the warm almost humid air takes me back, and the décor only emphasizes that this is not... More

I've been here in the past and wow, it's not as good as it used to be. Maybe it's due to all the competition from some pretty amazing other Korean restaurants in town. I had a tofu bibimbap. Yea, not the best. The rice wasn't sizzled enough, the tofu was cold and overcooked. Some of the veggies were good. But... More

Honestly the décor is something else but the food and attention from Jason (owner's son) is amazing. I always have a good time at this restaurant and the food is really good. Beats all the other Korean bbq places in town. You have to order off the menu. This is not all you can eat but the medium assorted plate... More

I'd been to this restaurant many times over the years, but hadn't been in the last 6 or 7 years (we no longer lived in Toronto). I dragged a friend there when I was in Toronto for the holidays and was so excited to introduce him to one of my favourite Korean restaurants. We ordered two staples - dolsot bibimbap... More

I quite like it. It;s a little dated, could use a refresh for sure but the little dishes of goodies that are delivered to the table before your food arrives are a delight! They can sometimes put a mayo mixture on the sushi, which I do not care for,. I asked them to leave it off and it was all... More

We walked into the this place not knowing what to expect, and it was a wait of 25 minutes until we got a table, but I must say, it was worth it. The owner a lady in her seventies, goes around every table to make sure all is going well, and that is just in case her son missed checking... More

Went for lunch on Bloor St, west. This was suggested by one of our daughters. Food was excellent but service was a little slow. Great selection and reasonably priced

Love the food, really well prepared and the service was quick and friendly. Enjoyed the Bibimbap while my date at the Pork Bone Soup and loved it. Lots of great sides too!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
