You might pass by this joint with all the restaurants and sights of Kensington Market but it is SO worth a stop. We read about these empanadas on many food blogs while resreaching for our trip to Toronto and this place was on every list. The place is quaint and small but packed with charm ad culture. The woman making... More

The quaint and small Jumbo Empanadas restaurant serves up delicious and, you guessed it, JUMBO Chilean empanadas. These were probably the cleanest, non-greasiest empanadas I've had.

We stopped in here for lunch while shopping in Kensington Market. Had the chicken empanada and the beef one, and and the salad, as well as some bread which they make as a Saturday special. All the food was fresh as can be, and very tasty. There is a little seating here, and the turnover is pretty fast. Lovely staff,... More

There are so many good restaurants in Kensington Market but we always return to this one. It's a very cozy place and the inside can get very warm. It's changed since the above picture was taken. There's now an awning and tables in front and you can sit outside on a warm day. You go to the counter and place... More

Had an empanada here and the meat was all wrong. Not authentic. Every Chilean person I know does not eat here. I even had some friends that have eaten in Chilean homes and complant that these were nothing like the chilean food they have tried. Never have gone back and never will.

I'm in love with the cheese empanadas at this place, those paired with the yummy salsa they make is one of my favorite treats. This time I also got some mini beef empanadas the meat was so moist and tasty. The place itself is very hot inside so be prepared to sweat a little in the summertime waiting for the... More

A large selection of emapanadas baked all day long so always fresh. Owned by the same lady since it opened about 25 years ago.

Awesome flavour - delicious. The salsa is unique and in demand. Unpretentious and if you happen to be in Kensington Market a fabulous place for lunch. Order at the counter - semi-self serve and a lot of regulars. Bit (huge) empanadas.

Don't blink, as you might walk right by this place. The Kensington area is a must-go for tourists and locals alike. A visit to Kensington is not complete with devouring a couple jumbo Empanadas. Ask for extra (spicy) salsa on the side. To die for. Enjoy!

inside the Kensington market. really little but full of people. also recommended by tourist guides. There are few possibilities of typical chilean food, particularly the Empanadas. you can buy or even stop and eat on site. good but not fantastic
