The wake up breakfast shooter should've been my first clue that this would be a breakfast where no detail was overlooked. The shooter consisted of several juices but was free of grapefruit which my husband and countless others must avoid due to dangerous interactions with medications they take daily. He enjoyed the Tried and True, a classic bacon and egg... More

Enjoyed a quick breakfast here, has very courteous staff and good prices. If you want to support local businesses, you should give this place a try, just cross the street from Timmy's!

Excellent food, attention to detail with service. Observed server (Stephen) recognize guests by name and anticipated what they wanted, not something that you see much these days. OJ is excellent, eggs benny excellent. There is a buffet but a little pricey but nicely done. The restaurant is good for a business meeting, quiet!

Fabulous brunch. What a way to spend a Sunday. Odd though that the law is no alcohol until 11:30 on Sunday and they seat at 11 - no mimosas until after first seating.

The daily specials are great value. It has quick service and is convenient to Yonge and King. Don't look for lots of ambiance but the daily newspapers are available for a quick update.

There is simply too many food options near Cafe Victoria to have me try it again. I have been three times and all were swings and misses. Three times and you are out! The service is almost standoffish, I asked for an orange juice and the guy barked at me "we have many types of orange juice, go pick one".... More

I have been there a few times, and received a so-so mean at a so-so price, the only reason I go back is because the location, speed of service and I like to help out the mom and pop establishments when ever possible. I will assure you the next time I will not be returning. I hate to be a... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
