My first time here and will definitely be back. Massive shrimps; perfectly cooked steak and the Brussels sprouts side was amazing. Fantastic, unpretentious service, unlike Harbour 50 which was a big disappointment.

I had a late night dinner at this old-style steak house. Nothing fancy about the décor and the menu is simple and short, nothing special: one salmon dish, one chicken dish and several steak choices -- but the food was very good. I had the New York strip and the wild mushrooms (substituted for the fries) , both of which... More

Hands down the best NY Strip I have ever had. I found it a little pricy at first but after my meal I changed my mind. It was well worth it. Very nice setting and a short walk from the Royal York!!!!

My daughter and I ate at this restaurant on our "Steak Date" on a Saturday night, and I think we would have been better off at The Keg, or Harbour Sixty. The restaurant was basically empty, and now I know why. The steaks were good, though probably a bit pricey, but the service was lousy. We were basically ignored- no... More

MH and I were long overdue for a catch up meal. Believe it or not, we probably last had the pleasure of a meal probably 2 years ago. And we let work and life get in the way. Not anymore. We met up at the Royal York lobby, and decided we wanted a rich and hearty meal to make the... More

Next to The Strathcona so convenient after a day at Niagara Falls. Service was unimpressive & I waited a long time for my order. I had the impression that as I had only ordered the excellent French Onion Soup & a Side of beautiful Steamed Fresh Vegetables that there would not be much of a tip! I felt a little... More

My boyfriend and I travelled from Calabogie to Toronto for a concert on the 3rd which was why we were in the area. We were walking around the night of the 4th for a place to eat and Bardis caught our eye. We were a little skeptical because places like this normally do not cater to people our age, but... More

I went to Bardis because it was close to my hotel and had a very good meal. The ribeye steak was outstanding quality and cooked extremely nicely. The sides were good but not on the same level as the steak. Service was adequate.

Old school steak house with a simple menu. Started with cheese garlic toast and Caesar salad which were a good size. The steak was the best, tender, flavored and large! Service was attentive and the wine list extensive. The decor is nothing fancy but the food is worth the visit.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
