The food here was delicious! I understand there are multiple locations, and hopefully they are all as tasty as this. Good pub food, nothing too out there. Service was prompt and friendly.

Last Sunday my wife went to a club holiday party in the High Park area. I drove her there then went to Bloor West Village looking for a restaurant. I ended up at the Swan Firkin, primarily because it looked like a nice spot; it had lots of TV's and I decided to treat myself. The TVs were important because... More

We were 7 people looking for a cool place to eat. A friend from Montreal suggested we try it. Boy am I glad we did. Great selection of beers on tap. The fried pickles are to die for and although many restaurants have them, few succeed. The staff was way cool and really fun, they were quick and super friendly.... More

I had the eggs benny, substituting the meat with mushrooms and requesting the eggs cooked harder than regular. The meal was SO tasty; the sauce was really well-done, the eggs cooked perfectly and the potatoes much better than I've had in a while. The ironic part of our visit was that we'd tried to go to a much busier spot... More

The Swan has just been redecorated in a British theme, and offers typical British pub fare. They have a nice roof top patio as well. It's as close as you'll get to real British pub fare. Nice friendly atmosphere. Suitable for all ages. Reasonably priced food and friendly service. The only downside is they take your dishes away while others... More

Stopped by on advice of a friend. Decent pub grub and friendly efficient service. I enjoyed the ambiance of the pub as the Jays were winning at the time (they lost 6-3) during game 2 against KC. I had the Sheppard's pie and deep fried pickle's pretty good. I would go back to this place in Bloorwest village.

Good food. Cheap beer. A lot of promotions. 32oz of Molson for only $12 on the Friday I went. Pretty cheap. Nice bar. Good food too.

I enjoyed this restaurant. Its a fair price for the food you get, especially the chicken tacos at $4 a go. Which i liked! They also did a Guinness for $5 a pint which is also good! Worth a go! I dont really get the British thing as its just the same as every other North American bar apart from... More

We loved this pub! I live in London England & was thrilled to check this place out after a strong recommendation from my brother in law. Best 3 things about this pub 1. Friendly & attentive female staff behind the bar 2, Hours - open late 3. Big rooftop patio & cosy decor downstairs

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
