Time was a few years ago that this place was pretty good for taste, quality and service. Went there again after almost a year and was shocked as to how disorganised, shabby and careless they have become. You have to wait until someone comes to take your order. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the food and 2 dishes were... More

A friend told me that he enjoys a south Asian lunch in the Thorncliffe Park area almost every week so we stopped in to check it out and are glad that we did! Just turn at the Tim Horton's on Overlea Boulevard and drive one block north to 2 Thorncliffe Park Drive where Iqbal Kebab & Sweets is located in... More

I tasted almost everything from this restaurant but only veal biryani is good. They have everything but poor taste food and very bad cutlery and service.

Food was good. Service was slow. We drove from 5 hours away to have breakfast (halwa puri) there. Breakfast was served pretty quickly, but tea that was ordered took around HALF HOUR and 3 reminders and requests. We wanted tea with the breakfast, but had to have it after. We never even got an apology when they brought the tea... More

This is the best indian restaurant in thorncliffe area. best food and reasonable price. I love their butter chicken and kabobs. I went to this place inspired by Iqbal Super market. I thought taste would be good. But not only place was dirty, service was poor and food quality was not up to the mark. Demi food is recognized by the quality and quantity both, Unfortunately, this restaurant quantity is also too small. I would never go again at this place

I actually learned about this place from a taxi driver! lol. Very tasty food at reasonable prices. My wife loves the butter chicken with garlic naan bread. My favourite is the lamb briyani. It is incredibly delicious and a major meal on its own. They renovated the place about a year ago so it has a nicer more modern decor.... More

Staying in East York

Neighbourhood Profile
East York
East York includes a portion of old, industrial Toronto. Densely populated but incredibly safe, it boasts some of the city's earliest gardens and gardening clubs, attracting green thumbs everywhere. The tranquility of the Don Valley River area, which is rich with Toronto's oldest and tallest forests, is supplemented by the large ensemble of authentic and refurbished Edwardian homes, giving parts of East York allure. The other draw is for foodies: lovers of Bangladeshi fare will find authentic restaurants and markets in the area, with raw spices and desserts. East York also represents a lot of Toronto's Serbian food culture, and recently, has had an outcropping of solid microbrewery stops. For families, the science center is a favored weekend stop.
