The food was great, the service was nice, the atmosphere and the music are great. This place is clearly underrated. They have the best ribs in the city.

Usually hit Baton Rouge as a staple for a successful lunch or dinner this location was not good. We got seated just after 1 and it took 15 minutes to get a server to ask us about drinks, food... it felt like everyone was rushing but nothing was happening. By the time we were done we had lost over an... More

Food was good. And our server was very nice and helpful. The restaurant wasn't busy and we got a crappy seat in the hallway -- when we asked for a better seat, "they were reserved" - and empty for the entire meal - disappointing!!! Not sure that I'll go back

Our first night in Toronto and we decided to go there as it sounded nice. When we sat down the waiter Ian didn't smile, looked impatient and spoke to us like we were making him go out of his way. When we asked him a question about Nigeria Falls he said i have no idea i haven't been past this... More

Our first night in Toronto after a long flight over from the UK. Found Baton Rouge and thought the burgers were really good and all 4 of us had one. Service was very quick and the guy serving us was friendly so all round a good experience and will probably go back before we leave.

Stopped in after taking on a show at the Elgin theatre. We had steaks, pasta and chicken. Steaks were very good. They apparently have issues with cooking potatoes be they mashed or baked. All half cooked. Pasta Alfredo had very little sauce and the Caesar salad appeared to have missed the salad dressing (Less than a spoonful throughout.

Service was courteous and quick! The food was lovely, and the setting is particularly nice - great buzz about the place and a really good atmosphere.

Went to dinner at this restaurant again this visit. I had a Rib Steak and it was done to perfection. My wife a Filet Mignon which she enjoyed equally as well. The service was excellent also. The sides offered are always delicious too! Of all the steak inspired restaurants we've dined at over the years in Toronto, this one never... More

To sum it up - the staff look miserable not one of them cracked a smile the whole time we were there.. It's as if they had all received bad news at the same time. The whole experience was just uncomfortable! Food was OK.. But if you want a nice atmosphere with staff that appreciate having a job, go somewhere... More

In town for Christmas and thought we'd start with a nice dinner at a usually great restaurant. Ordered the NY striploin, medium rare with the garlic mashed. Was a busy time, lots of families no doubt out for last minute shopping, and expected a bit of a wait. Shortly our order arrived and the waitress, who hadn't taken our order,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
