My big daughter had a gift card from Christmas & she decided to take us to the Keg for the Family day weekend. We forgot that it was a long weekend & some couples are still trying to salvage the post Valentines celebration. When we came in, f course, people were standing and waiting for their turn to be seated.... More

Our family of 8 went to this Keg on Wednesday, February 15. For a weeknight, the restaurant was absolutely jammed. Due to the business of the restaurant, a few things did not work out as well as can be expected from a Keg. While we didn't complain, a couple of people politely mentioned some things that were not up to... More

If you feel like steak, go elsewhere. First of all the room was so loud, conversation was very difficult, people had to almost yell across tables to be heard. Second, the menu is sirloin, sirloin, sirloin, sirloin, sirloin... and oh BTW here's a filet and a rib steak. Any restaurant that wants to call itself a "steakhouse" needs to serve... More

I had a great dinner here with a friend for my birthday. Spiro was a superb waiter, very informative and helpful with our choices. We started with the bacon-wrapped scallops, which were delicious and tender. I had the filet + cajun shrimp. Our waiter suggested I order these medium instead of medium-well and I am so happy I did because... More

Our friends invited us to have dinner at The Keg Steakhouse. The place is very cosy and the service was ok. I ordered the top sirloin (Medium Rare) and it came out (medium). The steak was acceptable but medium rare would be better. I ordered a ice lemon tea and found it too sweet and asked if I can have... More

The food is always good and so is the service. I go there often and they always make up for any short comings or mistakes if they happen and this keeps me coming back. It is very busy but they do a great job. My filet mignon is always cooked to perfection.

And this location, specifically. We've visited other sites in Oshawa and Toronto core but were not as satisfied with preparation of the steak or service. We've yet to have an unfavorable experience at the Estate Dr. location and we tend to visit on a quarterly basis. We've even managed to receive reasonably fast seating on Valentine's Day without benefit of... More

One of my favourite places to dine. The food is definitely worth the buck! Customer service is not bad at all. A bit pricey on the pockets, however, the experience is worth it. They seem to have changed the menu up a bit but I normally get my regular grilled tiger shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes and 8 oz steak. I... More

My wife and I had an excellent dinner at The Keg, Estate Drive, Scarborough. I can understand why it is #1 of 269 restaurants in Scarborough. One of the best reasons why; their menu is properly priced. Everything is in even dollars. Other restaurants and retail operations should follow the example. Even dollars and not the ridiculous $12.99, $14.99, $22.99,... More

We had our company Christmas dinner here this week so 16-18 people and order as you wish. The service was outstanding and the food was equally delicious. I LOVE their Ciabatta bread served warm and sooo good. Be careful you don't fill yourself up on the bread as its hard to stop eating it. I had the scallop appetizer and... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
