While away on business, and unfamiliar with the area, my coworker and I stumbled upon this place while wandering around. What a fantastic restaurant. Clean, great atmosphere, friendly staff and most importantly amazing food! I highly recommend this place and will be back my next trip!

this place is not going to be here very long - not because the food is not good, but the building is up for demolition. if you get a chance and want some very excellent hot and sour soup - this is the place to go.

Nice place, cozy decor. The service was a touch slow, but pleasant enough! Food wise the kung pao chicken was okay, the chicken wasn't as crispy as I'd like and the flavour was a little too mellow. The pork, shrimp, and chive dumplings were pretty tasty though, I liked these. But oh my god the pork belly bao was amaaaazing!!... More

This is a pretty decent Chinese Bistro. A good variety of dumplings, they even have Shanghai soup dumplings. My fave was the hockey pucks & the pulled pork bao. My peeve ? The use of thousand island dressing as a Chinese dipping sauce. A fusion idea doesn't really work.

Probably the best dumplings/ dim sum I've had outside of Asia itself. Nice atmosphere, fast, friendly service although we did have to get someone's attention to get the check. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Pretty good value as well

The Yonge/Bloor area is dotted with cheap and fast Asian restaurants - but Lee Chen is the first in a while that actually serves up very good-to-excellent food. Proudly announcing its Taiwanese roots, I can't even remember the restaurant that was there before - they have completely renovated the space, to good end. The menu is big, but not vast.... More

Came to this places 3 times with friend or by myself. Serves Shanghai food. Sitting in downtown. Decent Shanghai food. Nice internal decoration. Service is fast. A popular place on the Yonge street. A general comment is that for Chinese food in Toronto, you should go to up North to places like Markham, Northyork Hill.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
