Have been 3 times in 3 months. Our friends travel 45 minutes to meet us here for dinner (they are Italian). Food is amazing; fresh, tasty, hot and authentic. Service is always great. Love that owner greets us at the door and is able to keep track of the next party and how many are in it. Wish restaurant was... More

I've been here several times. This is a family run, family friendly restaurant, yet later on is a great venue for dates or fun get togethers with friends! The stone oven pizzas are amazing, with a wide variety of toppings. The salads are fresh and the pastas and entres are always delicious. There aren't a lot of nicer places to... More

My friends love the wood oven pizza but they handle pasta better than most other places so I've yet to move off the pasta page even after 20 plus visits. Sal and Mateo (and Dad sometimes) greet you at the door and change the laws of physics it it means seating you quickly. I've never waited more than 15 minutes... More

I've heard great things about this restaurant, but I was less than impressed. We were seated in a timely manner, but our options (for 2 people) were either right next to a family of 3 (practically on top of them, the tables were so close together that the very thin waiter had to go in between them sideways) or off... Love going to Fratellis. It's our local italian restaurant. Good variety . It's always tasty. Penne alla Vodka is very good and the meatball dish is really tasty.

Knew the reputation of this restaurant as a popular place that often has line ups so arrived at opening time. More tables than you would think from outside. Many tables close together but atmosphere is friendly so not a problem unless you are looking for intimacy. Fabulous service throughout our time there. Menu selection excellent. We had calamari and three... More

We went to Fratelli Village Pizzeria for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. It looks like a very small restaurant from the outside, but seats more than you'd expect. There is no dedicated parking, but there was ample room on the street. Fratelli is an attractive restaurant, if not a little cramped. However, the wood fired pizza was quite good.... More

This is a great little restaurant. We went in to celebrate a family dinner and they were very accommodating. We had a party of 15 and it was no problem. The atmosphere is very nice. You can tell that most of the customers were regulars. The owner was out talking with and greeting everyone. I would definitely recommend the Margherita... More

Their Spaghetti Bolognese is very tasty and hearty. It has a profound home cooked taste. I had to take some home. My friends had the stone oven baked Pizza, No need to ask for thin crust because the dough is not thick. This is the best rated restaurant in the Highland creek area.

Description
This is a nice restaurant bursting with charm with some of the tastiest italian food in Toronto. Fresh ingredients in all of their dishes and some of the best pizza in the city. A gem that is tucked away from the big city but worthy of admiration. A must try if you are looking for italian food and the wood fired oven for pizza's makes all of the difference.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
