So many choices! We had the bratwurst, rabbit sausage and chicken/artichoke/basil- all were delicious! The fries and dipping sauces were tasty too. They have vegetarian options. We were a little confused if we were supposed to tip; I asked someone near me and he said no. If this was a mistake- I apologize; you guys were awesome!

It is your average place with cafeteria seating, go order your food, sit at a bench with your number, wait for food to be delivered. I found the menu confusing and not user friendly. I do have to admit the beer selection is amazing, but even then you have to ask plenty of questions to figure out what is available.... More

Had a lovely lunch here today. Get here before 12 as Torontonians seem to know this is destination. Had a combination of kimchi, and pickles, and sausages. I really liked the fact you could get the sausages without buns cut up on plates to share and sample as I am not big on bread. Fantastic variety of beer and cider.... More

We stopped in for dinner and we're not disappointed. While I wouldn't call this a family-friendly restaurant/pub, we had our 7 and 9 year old kids with us. They loved the regular brats and we're treated pleasantly by waitstaff. My husband and I each had specialty brats, which were delicious and also an order of regular fries (for the kids)... More

Been to Wvrst a couple of times in the past two months - we are never disappointed. The interior is clean and fresh. Service is consistently good. Fun, casual vibes from the beer hall style seating. This is the place to be on a Monday, $5 craft night, you can't go wrong.

Went here for a staff party and the place was packed. Best bet would be to make a reservation AND show up early. The restaurant is very casual and has a simple design but can host large parties. The wide selection of beer is great if you know what type you like, but otherwise can be a bit overwhelming to... More

Great location in the heart of the Entertainment district. The menu and the atmospher was simple but well done and fun. Great for group gatherings. Tons of craft beer selections. The staff was very nice and attentive. We will go back.

Have been wanting to try this place for a while due to the good reviews of the beer selection. Was not disappointed with many good craft ales on tap and more available by the bottle! Had a fantastic (or three) Great Lakes IPA... Food menu is sausages - many different types (I had bison), fillings and fries. Go for the... More

I went for dinner on King Street with the fam last night. Was easy to find - just look for the blood-red lettering outside and walk up a flight of stairs to the communal up-scale casual beer hall setting that is WVRST (a playful respelling of the Germanic word for sausage).. Service was swift and efficient without being too overbearing.... More

My sister brought my partner and I to this fab venue as it offered gluten free options. The selection of sausages and beer/cider was fantastic! Sides were great and the dipping sauces was also amazing :) A very casual dining atmosphere, but a perfect location to enjoy the laid back Toronto way of life! Highly Recommended!

We're a casual open space designed for communal dining, a hangout for beer aficionados, for families, work friends, and sausage lovers of all ages.

We make great sausages with over twenty five options; from Chorizo and Bratwvrst, to our Venison with red pepper, or Wild Boar and black tea. We also have our Barese sausage, which is made for sharing, but that doesn't mean you have to. Like fries? We have regular and duck fat (all Belgian style) with 16 house made dips to choose from. Also, we love vegetarians = 3 vegetarian, and 2 vegan sausages.

We have 24 taps that we clean every two weeks. Our draft list is constantly rotating, but always focuses on home grown craft beer and cider. For our bottles and cellar we seek out the best brewers and cider makers from around the world. Some vintages won't be opened for 10+ years. On the first Thursday of each month we tap a keg that has been aging for at least 2 years.

We were honored this year to be voted Best Fries and Beer Selection in the city.

WVRST is something you can enjoy with your family. Afternoons and evenings are great time with the kids. We have room for strollers and we don't mind if you make a bit of noise and have fun, we'll probably be doing the same thing.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
