Sorry, this was really bad. I had a Cheese Enchilada and it wasn't even melted. The "refrito" beans were barely warm and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar at best. The Tortilla Soup was not much better (or worse). The Flan was old, as well. Having just returned from Southern California and Arizona...I was deeply disappointed.... More

When I miss being in Mexico and eating Mexican food this is the place I go to! Good food, funky atmosphere and great drinks! So head up to North Toronto or go to their Queen St. location and check it out!

Attending here with my mother - we do out best to go out and try the various and diverse cuisine options Toronto boasts. The Milagro is a wonderful spot for genuine Mexican Cuisine. With an extensive Tequila menu - you are certain to find your perfect taste of quality Tequila. The food we had here brought me back to my... More

This is one for Mexican food lovers. Nothing on the menu is geared to the generic. Nothing inventive, perhaps, but classic dishes prepared well are wonderful. Salsa has the sweetness you'd expect, but with a wonderful earthy undertone of smoked peppers (other than the well-work chipotle). Queso fundido comes with fresh, well-griddled flour tortillas. Pintos refritos are superb, both creamy... More

I wasn't sure where my friends were taking me for dinner but wow!... Authentic Mexican was delicious and such an unexpected find in the city! I'll definitely be coming back Service was awesome, the drinks super yummy (we had sangria by the pitcherful) and so much food we needed doggie bags.

Milagro is not a Tex-Mex joint. The menu leans heavily towards more traditional Mexican dishes Mole Poblano, Tinga De Pollo and Barbacoa Pachuca. You'll also find enchiladas, tostadas and tacos (soft shell). The food is good but not necessarily outstanding. I did enjoy the Tinga - more than enough pulled chicken to fill four soft shelled tortillas and plenty of... More

We had dinner and enjoyed the friendly efficient service. We started with Trio Bontenero which was delicious and filling. Thankfully we shared a meal of Zarandeados (octopus, shrimp and cod) that our server warned us was very spicy. A nice dinner in pleasant surroundings.

We eat here a couple times a year. This is the original location and quite small and noisy compared to their larger "Cantina" location downtown. The food is always good and fast. The tortilla chip and thick and crunch and the guacamole is chunky with a bit of a bite. They have a nice menus with a selection of different... More

Great for dinner on a Friday night with Good Friends. You really need to make a reservation as this place gets busy. The food was definitely authentic. The guacamole we had was fresh and homemade and so delicious! We each ordered some Ceviche to start and it was some of the best i've tried. I had the Burrito (chicken) and... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
