The tacos lacked some serious flavor. The tacos shell. ..is the same as what I buy at longos to make wraps. I won't go back. It was a waste. Does not come close to the playa cabana restos.

We had the ceviche of the day, the fish tacos, and the lamb mini-tacos. All were excellent but the ceviche in particular was perfect. The margaritas were also lovely, and we'll definitely be back to try some of the other cocktails and seafood main courses next time.

Went for the Winterlicous menu. Some of the ceviche scallops had a strong smell and taste and there was not a lot of kick to it. The roast chicken dish was very good but the mashed potatoes had the consistency of a packaged mix.The 3 milk cake and churros were very good. The restaurant was not even half full but... More

Family of 4 enjoyed excellent food in this nicely designed restaurant. Service was excellent and the food tasted very very good. Parking was easy to find on the streets north of the restaurant.

been here 3 times and the food is always tasty and interesting. Friendly and helpful service in a small quiet setting. Recommend that the table share a few taco options. Mole was amazing and the shrimp was great as well.

Enjoyed the outdoor back patio, was disappointed in food. Guacamole was good but served with a small bowl of broken chips. Main courses small with no rice and a small layer of beans. If we did not order dessert would have left hungry after eating a starter and entree. No we are not lumberjacks, a 50 year old woman, two... More

I enjoy the way they serve it in small portions and for sharing (tapas style). They have a great variety of tacos (meat, duck, pork) and plenty of other great dishes. I have never been disappointed and many of my guess have themselves become regulars. Great food and nice people. Highly recommended

We went there with friends as other downtown mexican restaurants were fully booked. We really did not regret our choice. The place is really nice, definatly not a tacky place. The food was excellent we had guacamole and ceviche : so tasty yet delicate ! Portions are very decent, we couldnt finish our mains. Cocktails are also good, there's nice... More

I will not go back there! We ordered ceviche to start. They served it potato chips on the side. The chips were stale and cold. For main dishes, we ordered Mexican ribs and chicken tacos. The tacos were good. Nothing was spicy and they didn't even ask if we wanted it to be a bit hotter. The ribs were average.... More

This restaurant took Mexican food to another level. It's not for the regular Taco Bell type of experience (if you can call that Mexican:) We were there on a Sunday night - we made reservations, which seems to be a good idea, as they were pretty full, and we were a party of 4. The servings were ample, but better... More

Staying in York-Crosstown

Neighbourhood Profile
York-Crosstown is a sleepy area of Toronto dotted gorgeously with hills and farmland, stately homes and parks. An affluent district in parts, the stately houses at Baby Point along Jane Street are especially breathtaking, and make for a lovely wander on a clear day. Parks are bountiful in York-Crosstown, which makes it a vibrant area for outdoor play and sports, providing a break from the hustle of Toronto's busy, jam-packed city center. For a little spice after a walk in the park, the Little Jamaica area of York sports cheap, authentic food from the Caribbean. This area is restful and more orientated towards outdoor activity and the exploration of nature.
