Not a good moment for us. I don't think this was a place with a great price/quality value as we taste just some appetizers and few pasta for a too expensive final bill. 35 $ for person is to much for such a poor choice of recipes. Just a note for the chef. The taste of the foods was pretty... More

Always great food... decently priced. The servers could pick it up a notch but it's also that loud busy fun atmosphere so it works. They have days with half price wines and other specials. The charcuterie board is delightful... pasta is great - just remind them "al dente!"

Went there with my wife and my cousin. Order the Tuesday special (lobster) and a bottle of white wine. The lobster in pasta was good but the white wine was not chilled. If for the food, I shall rate it excellent and the overall rating is now very good because of room temperature white wine.

Vibrant atmosphere combined with an extensive Italian menu! We were very pleased to have chosen Cibo for dinner in Yorkville. Nice selection of wines; many available by the glass (2 sizes). This restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere: the second level backs onto an open and very active kitchen; tables are quite close and it's not quiet. Guests are clearly having... More

I've had better Italian meals elsewhere. However the staff was nice and the food decent. I wouldn't make a special trip back here, but if we were in the area I would stop in. I found the prices to be a little too high for the quality that was presented. The restaurant itself is spatially unique which added to the... More

Great vibe and very welcoming despite being a single traveller. They tucked me in a discreet corner but didn’t just leave me there like so often happens when you are travelling alone. The waiter was welcoming and attentive and both the wine and the delicious pizza were delivered promptly. Can't fault it and would certainly recommend whether alone or in... More

Landed there as part of a team lunch. Didn't expect the food to be good as it is a bar. Surprisingly it was good and I liked the overall ambiance. The staff was very friendly. Food took a while to arrive after ordering, though I suspect the delay was due to our group size (~30 people).

I had friends visiting from Montreal and since I hadn't been to Cibo in awhile and we were staying at a hotel in the area I decided to revisit Cibo. The general atmosphere was very nice. The waiter wasn't the friendliest from the onset of our visit. He seemed like he was forced to be nice. That being said as... More

My wife and I wanted to grab a glass of wine after witnessing the extraordinary Dover Quartet. The highlight of the night was the RCM. We ordered two glasses of merlot (5 ounces - $10 each) and the tomato wedges with olives and mixed greens for $12. This of course was only after we waited 15 minutes for our server... More

With Winterlicious on we decided to try Cibo. The place was packed! The servers looked and acted as you would expect . After ordering a glass of wine and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere we decided to order off the Winterlicious menue. After being served several disappointing apatisers the manager had one of his favorites created for my wife! It was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
