La Boheme is a pleasant bistro, but it does not stand out from nearby cafes, at least a couple of which strike me as better. The piece of pastry I had was good enough, so was the coffee.

I went this weekend and was surprised when my latte came in a much smaller cup yet the price was the same. I don't think I will be coming here anymore- there are too many other places to choose from in the area.

I have visited this coffee shop with me wife. Coffee is not professionally brewed. Coconut tart cream was light, and very less coconut inside. Vegie kirsch was ok, and a side salad with three option is a nice selection to customer. Ambiance is good but can be improved with some fancy lights. Prices are heavy compared what is being offered.... More

After reading several reviews for breakfast places in the area, I decided to give La Boheme a try. I really wanted some eggs and a traditional breakfast, however this is not the place for that. They have a selection of quiches and pastries and specialty coffees, however I don't get the impressions the pastries are baked at that location. I... More

This is a local patisserie that I desperately want to be good. It's an independent amid a lot of Starbucks. Unfortunately their food is painfully mediocre and over priced and the interior is unloved, dirty and they just don't clean up after patrons. I find the service a little cold, borderline rude and nobody working here seems to really...I don't... More

A last minute decision brought my good friend and I here for coffee and croissants. I did end up having their veggie quiche with spinach and goat cheese with my croissant. The food overall was very good! The outdoor patio on a sunny day was delightful and very relaxing. The service was slow even though they were not busy, however,... More

I always go to Boheme for a nice vegetarian soup or a latte and croissant... Everything is normally really quick and efficient. The wait staff is always very nice and goes beyond what is expected. Yesterday I went there to get a take out soup and orange juice. The person looking after me was relatively new she informed me and... More

There were 3 wait staff and yet only the barista can operate the cash AND make the coffees. One of the staff was using her smart phone and would not answer my request for service. Totally ignored me and continued to use her smartphone behind the counter. Clearly there were tables to clean and the condiment counter to attend to.... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
