After a 20k bike ride, we stopped here for some nourishment. It was recommended. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the building and the dark interior, but was pleasantly surprised at the food quality. The lentil soup was fabulous, as was the salads, sandwiches, fish and chips and burgers. Everyone was satisfied and the... More

We stopped in here for dinner before the Cirque Du Soleil. So glad we did! Although we had reservations for dinner, we were very early and had the chance to shoot some pool and have some appies before having dinner outside on the patio. Appetizers: Lemon pepper calamari and sweet potato fries. Dinner: Shared small size chicken nachos, Beef dip... More

My family (husband, daughter and toddler grandson) stopped in for an late lunch around 3:30pm on a Thursday. I was quite surprised as to how busy they were (lots of film crews, workers) - however we were seated right away and tended to by 2 really great servers. it certainly helps having an adorable 16 month old with you :)... My husband and I ate re prior to seeing the Cirque Du Soleil show Luzia and what a nice surprise. We started with the the garlic bread and he had the Artichoke and Spinach Dip and both were amazing. We eat here every year when we come to town for the Cirque du Soleil as it's in walking distance. Never a disappointment. Food quality is excellent, lots of seating, tons of selection on the menu, reasonable wine choices and really great service. You can't go wrong.

My mother and I ordered their daily special, prime rib with mash potatoes and yorkshire pudding. When it came after 30 minutes , all the food was cold and I mean cold not even luke warm. We sent it back to be reheated even though the waitress offered to cook new meals. The second time it came back, the meat... More

Great location for post-game drinks/food after playing at Cherry Beach sports fields. Good beer selection, wide variety of food, and good space with a patio.

Terrible service manager, food was mediocre, lots of bugs. Was told by heavy handed on duty manager he didn't care about our complaints because " we have all the workers with such and such coming here "! Would not return.

The service and the servers were excellent; very knowledgeable and friendly. The food, however, was average. The prices are very reasonable and they do have good selection. The croutons in the Caesar salad were soggy, as if they had been in the salad for a long time. The fish and ships was a good buy for the quantity and quality... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
